Ready for the Stage!

The DD-670 is packed with features that make this drum set a true workhorse on stage and in the rehearsal room: a two-piece hi-hat pad on a real hi-hat stand, a ride pad with 3 zones, top-notch sounds, and 6 faders for easy and fast selection of key parameters. To top it all off, all mesh pads feature real wooden shells and are mounted on their own stands. The difference to a "real" drum kit is then (almost) only noticeable in the uncomplicated, easily controllable, and always perfect sound. It just works!

Drum Pads with Double-Layer Mesh Heads

If you expect realistic rebound from an e-drum, mesh heads are simply a must. All drum pads are equipped with double-layer mesh heads, which are completely quiet and allow precise triggering. Since the heads can be "tuned" with a key, each pad feels like an acoustic drum. Except for the kick pad, all pads naturally have both head and rim triggers for two different sounds per pad.

All Pads Made of Wood!

A real highlight: all drum pads have genuine wooden shells and are mounted on individual stands. This provides the familiar feel of an acoustic drum set. Additionally, this setup prevents crosstalk between pads. You immediately feel "at home".

The entire setup can be built very flexibly and also looks impressive on stage. The kick pad also has a wooden shell and not only offers an absolutely realistic playing feel, but the 20" large mesh head also easily accommodates a double bass pedal.

Top-Quality Cymbal Pads

This is serious gear: the hi-hat pad consists of two parts and can be mounted on any standard hi-hat stand. While the crash pads feature two freely assignable zones, the ride pad even comes with its own bell trigger. Naturally, crash and ride pads can be choked by hand.

First-Class Sounds and Plenty of Options

The heart of the drum set—the module—offers 720 high-quality sounds with multisampling technology. From rock and pop to ethnic and electronic, you can create 20 custom drum kits, with every pad freely assignable and each sound finely adjustable in volume, panorama, pitch, and reverb.

The user-friendly faders prove especially practical, allowing very quick adjustments. For example, you can balance the volume levels of individual instrument groups or control the global effects (reverb, compressor, and equalizer). This is a feature you won’t want to miss, especially in live use.

Including Hardware

A hi-hat stand and 3 boom stands allow for a completely individual setup. Even in tight spaces, there’s always a way to position all pads perfectly.

Expandable Anytime

The DD-670 also offers an additional trigger input, making configurations with 3 crashes possible. Or you can simply assign effect sounds to a pad or use 4 toms or...

So get out of the rehearsal room and let the show begin!

Setup is straightforward, provided you know what a drum is. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. It's great to play. Every little stroke is audible. The cymbals and hi-hat work great. The ride with 2 sound positions also works. The sound is wonderful. I attached a double foot machine to it. That works too. Wonderful rebound from the mesh heads. Everything is great, everything is super. Definitely a recommendation to buy.

A great handling from sale to delivery - am very satisfied with the set ... it can be "stroked" and is thus almost inaudible in headphone mode. Only the menu navigation is a bit bumpy ...
Great E Drum that really makes fun ...

... for the price you get a good electric drum with which you can cover a wide range of musical styles. The settings options regarding sensitivity when touching the pads is very good to adjust, play loud quietly means set accents is thus super feasible.

The sticking point is usually the hit hat, open - close, half open, etc. I'm not optimally satisfied yet, I'll look at a few more tutorials with recommendations on this, I give the E Drum clearly full 4 stars.

Tip for larger drummers from 1.90 I would not recommend it, the adjustment options for the pads in height are limited, if you sit incorrectly the angle with the bass drum is no longer correct to play fast double bass oh yes, I have an Eliminator DB also means the pad on the bass drum sets two beaters that work exactly around from the sound.

Grades:
Optics 2+
Processing 2+
construction 2+
Height adjustment 3+ (critical from 1.90)
Adjustment possibilities sound 2+
Playing feel 2+
Sound 1- (recommendation to buy proper headphones)
Hit Hat 2-3+ (adjustment still in work)
Foot machine 3 (for Pop etc. everything well with Heavy use other foot machine my recommendation)
Double Bass 2+ (pad also implements DB play and consistently good)

Purchase recommendation 2

Questions about product

Your question about the article XDrum DD-670 Mesh E-Drum Kit

Your question will be forwarded directly to the department and answered as soon as possible.

Question by Jörn Mirete on 15.09.2025

Can you indicate the rough dimensions (rough rectangle) that the DD-670 requires in terms of floor space when set up on average? It doesn't depend on the centimeter. That would be great for my planning when space is limited. Thank you and best regards! JM

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

I would plan with about 125x150cm. You can sometimes get it more compact. But it will certainly work with this surface area!

Question by Hendrik on 08.11.2022

Apart from the Addon stand tom, are there any replacement toms for the rack in case one breaks for whatever reason?

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

Hello, the Xdrum brand is our house brand and is developed and serviced by us. This means that we can also supply the matching spare parts for every drum kit in this range.

Question by Rory Mayne on 14.12.2021

Does this hi hat have a foot splash function?

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

Yes, the hi-hat of the XDrum DD-670 has a foot splash function.

Question by Olaf on 26.08.2021

Is the module identical to the 650 with the same sounds?
Thanks!

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

Yes, the XDrum DD-650 module is identical to the DD-670 module.

Question by Felix Schmidt-Gahlen on 12.05.2021

Hello all,
are / which other module(s) compatible with this set? Alesis Strike Performance , Roland TD-17 and Co?

Many thanks

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

Unfortunately, no module from another manufacturer is currently compatible with the DD-670.

Question by Dan92 on 11.04.2021

Hello,
Can we add external sounds or kits on the DD-670 and if so, how?
Thank you.

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

You cannot add sounds to this drum kit via an SD card or USB stick. However, if you connect the drum kit via a midi connection to a computer with a digital audio workstation (DAW), you can use the DAW sounds.

Question by Ivan Olivieri on 10.04.2021

I would like to know how to go about replacing the mesh heads,I did not quite understand how to disassemble them, even after unscrewing from the outside, the skin remains attached to the inside of the snare drum

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

good afternoon, once the'snare drum ring is removed, the head can be pulled out. The skin is often very precise on the edge of the drum and must be loosened with some sensitivity.

Question by Kai on 11.03.2021

Is the bass drum pad double-pedal capable?

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

Yes, you can use the pad with double foot pedal.

Question by Jean-Claude Croes on 12.02.2021

Can it be connected to a mixer which is connected to an amp
With my old one I could.

Thanks

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

You can send the drum sound from the main output into a mixer and from there further into an amp/cab.

Question by Dan on 06.02.2021

Hello,
Is it possible to change the resonant skin of the bass drum, to customize the kit, without affecting the product?
Thank you.

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

The drumheads of the drum set can be changed quite easily. It works like an acoustic drum set.

Question by Harald on 18.01.2021

Can you use double foot machine without complaint or is it better to stick a patch (which one?)?

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

A patch will not minimize the volume excessively. Unfortunately, it is not possible to do it completely tonelessly - but the DD 670 is already very quiet.

Question by Florian on 15.01.2021

Hello ,
Can you build the set flexible (that is times only 2 toms and 1 cymbal ,
and leave the other connections free) ? Or do you always have to connect all components ?

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

Hello, it is also possible to build the DD 670 in a small variant.

Question by Daniel on 20.12.2020

Hello Kirstein Team,

Question by Jens on 06.10.2020

Hi @ Kirstein,

How high is the impact noise when hitting a tom pad, kick pad or cymbal with a drum stick.
Comparing xdrum dd-670 with Alesis DM10 MKII Pro Kit or Yamaha DTX522K Compact E-Drum?

Thank in advance for your reply, Jens

Is this drum set only for beginners?

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

This drum set is suitable for beginners as well as advanced drummers.

Question by Ingo Rihm on 19.08.2020

Moin,

are there any differences between DD530 and DD670?
(Except that the pads have standard drum size).
So, are there different systems built into the pads?

Thank you very much and
with kind regards

Ingo

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

In general, the main differences are in the drum module (newer technology and samples) and in the pads themselves. The built-in trigger technology is newer, but the principle of the triggers is the same.

Hello from Austria!

Is it possible with the sounmodul. Bassdrum send toms and cymbals extra to the mixer?

Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:

This battery is compatible with any double-foot machine.
