Ready for the Stage!
The DD-650 is packed with features that make this drum set a true workhorse on stage and in the rehearsal room: a two-part HiHat pad on a real HiHat stand, a ride pad with 3 zones, top-notch sounds, and 6 faders for easy and fast selection of key parameters. Plus, the wooden shell snare and kick pads deliver an incredibly realistic playing feel and look like a "real" drum kit. It rocks!
Drum Pads with Double-Layer Mesh Heads
If you want realistic rebound from an e-drum, mesh heads are a must. All drum pads come with mesh heads that are completely quiet and allow precise triggering. Since the heads can be "tuned" with a key, each pad feels like an acoustic drum. Except for the kick pad, all pads have both a head and rim trigger for two different sounds per pad.
Snare and Kick Pads with Wooden Shells!
A real highlight: the 14" snare with a genuine wooden shell is mounted on its own stand, offering familiar handling like an acoustic model. This setup also prevents crosstalk to other pads. You immediately feel "at home".
The kick pad also features a wooden shell and not only provides an absolutely realistic playing feel, but the 14" large mesh head easily fits a double bass pedal.
Top-Quality Cymbal Pads
Ready to work with: the HiHat pad consists of two parts and can be mounted on any standard HiHat stand. While the crash pads feature two freely assignable zones, the ride pad even comes with its own bell trigger. Naturally, crash and ride pads can be choked by hand.
First-Class Sounds and Plenty of Options
The heart of the drum set—the module—offers 720 high-quality sounds with multisampling technology. From rock to pop, ethnic to electronic, you can create 15 custom drum kits, with every pad freely assignable and each sound finely adjustable in volume, panorama, pitch, and reverb.
The user-friendly faders prove especially practical, allowing quick adjustments of important settings. For example, you can balance the volume levels of individual instrument groups or control global effects (reverb, compressor, and equalizer). This is a feature you won’t want to miss, especially in live use.
Includes Rack
Almost the entire drum set (except HiHat, snare, and kick drum) is mounted on the sturdy rack, which saves space and allows quick setup. The tom pad mounts feature ball joints, enabling stepless positioning of the pads.
Expandable Anytime
The DD-650 also offers an additional trigger input, making configurations with 3 crashes possible, for example. Or you can assign effect sounds to a pad or use 4 toms or...
So get out of the rehearsal room and let the show begin!

I do not need much, because I bought it only to "rumdaddeln" and accordingly I have so far probably only exhausted one percent of the possibilities that gives the device.
Basically, I've just assigned individual sounds to the drums and played away.
The fact that you don't have to decide on a kit, but can really customize everything, is outstanding.
Sound, volume, effects etc.
If I have noticed correctly, even the suggestions for improvement of the drum freaks, who have tested the device extensively on Youtube, have been taken into account.
Chapeau, hats off.
By the way, a very successful test, which has finally convinced me.
What I don't like is the module.
The blue illumination of individual buttons is so bright that you can no longer read the lettering as soon as the room is a little darker.
Maybe you can adjust this and I have not found it yet.
However, also not yet searched.
I have in any case already found a good manual for the module on the net.
The second point are the feet of the bassdrum.
I can tighten the poultry nuts as much as I want and they still wobble.
However, an inability of the builder can not be ruled out.
Conclusion is but in any case a clear buy recommendation.
Who is unsure, just look at the just mentioned test on Youtube.
No questions remain unanswered.

Question by Simone Del Bene on 23.03.2021
Good morning. Do the parts in this Xdrum kit all work with a Roland controller like a TD17 that I would like to purchase soon? Including the hi hat that came with the dd670. I would not want to buy it and then find out that they are incompatible. Thank you very much.
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
On the XDrum DD-650, the hihat and ride cymbal are not compatible with the Roland TD-17 module, all other pads are compatible.
Question by Samuelo on 16.01.2021
Good morning, unfortunately in addition to having soundproofing problems (which forces me to go to an electronic drum kit), I also have space problems in my apartment.... so.... would someone please tell me the actual size that this kit occupies?
Thank you very much!!!
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
Because each drummer sets up his or her setup differently, exact measurements cannot be given. Approximately, the drum kit needs an area of 1.50 m x 1.50 m (stool included).
Question by Víctor Manuel on 24.12.2020
Hi, I would like to know if the USB port does the Midi in Midi Out function, since I don't see conventional Midi ports...Thanks in advance and best regards.
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
With the help of the USB connection you can transfer Midi data. For this you need a USB A to USB B cable. It is not necessary to install a driver for use.
