Ready For The Stage!
The DD-670 comes packed with features that make this drum set a true workhorse on stage and in the rehearsal room: a two-part HiHat pad on a real HiHat stand, a ride pad with 3 zones, top-notch sounds and 6 faders for easy and fast selection of key parameters. To top it all off, all mesh pads feature real wooden shells and are mounted on their own stands. The difference to a "real" drum kit is then (almost) only noticeable in the uncomplicated, easily controllable and always perfect sound. It just works!
Drum Pads With Double-Layer Mesh Heads
Anyone expecting realistic rebound from an e-drum simply can’t do without mesh heads. All drum pads come with double-layer mesh heads that are completely silent and allow precise triggering. Since the heads can be "tuned" with a key, each pad feels like an acoustic drum. Except for the kick pad, all pads naturally have both a head and rim trigger for two different sounds per pad.
All Pads Made Of Wood!
A real highlight: all drum pads have genuine wooden shells and are mounted on their own stands. This provides the familiar feel of an acoustic drum. Additionally, this setup prevents crosstalk between pads. You immediately feel right at "home".
The entire setup can be arranged very flexibly and also looks impressive on stage. The kick pad naturally also has a wooden shell and offers not only an absolutely realistic playing feel, but the 20" large mesh head also easily fits a double bass pedal.
Top-Quality Cymbal Pads
This is serious gear: the HiHat pad consists of two parts and can be mounted on any standard HiHat stand. While the crash pads feature two freely assignable zones, the ride pad even comes with its own bell trigger. Naturally, crash and ride pads can be muted by hand.
First-Class Sounds And Many Options
The heart of the drum set - the module - offers 720 high-quality sounds with multisampling technology. From rock to pop to ethnic and electronic, 20 custom drum kits can be created, with every pad freely assignable and each individual sound finely adjustable in volume, panorama, pitch and reverb.
The user-friendly faders prove especially practical, allowing very quick adjustments. For example, the volume balance of individual instrument groups can be adjusted or global effects (reverb, compressor and equalizer) controlled. This is a feature you won’t want to miss, especially in live use.
Including Hardware
A HiHat stand and 3 boom stands allow for a completely individual setup. Even in tight spaces, there’s always a way to position all pads perfectly.
Stool
This stool features a round seat in leather look and stands on three non-slip rubber feet. It can be comfortably height-adjusted via the robust precision spindle. With the removable seat and foldable legs, this seat is quick and easy to transport. Thanks to its double-braced legs, it also withstands tough demands and offers uncompromisingly secure footing.
Headphones
The KDJ-1000 delivers a full, balanced sound with rich bass and clear highs. It offers plenty of volume yet clean and precise stereo imaging. Thanks to the low impedance, the KDJ-1000 can also handle extreme volume levels at low-signal inputs.
Of course, the softly padded, wide headband is length-adjustable. The entire headphone folds up for space-saving storage. For mixing desk work, the comfortable ear cups can also be rotated 180° for classic "single ear monitoring." The thick, soft padding of the over-ear cups additionally provides good external noise isolation.
The headphones feature a long coiled cable that extends to over 3.5 m, allowing even the most active DJ to move freely behind the decks. The 3.5 mm stereo jack plug is gold-plated for improved transmission, and a 6.3 mm stereo jack adapter is also included. Furthermore, the headphones come with a practical storage pouch.
Drumsticks
The XDrum sticks offer pleasant playability and excellent sound characteristics at an incredible price. The grippy surface prevents annoying slipping, while the extra-hard wood ensures long durability.
School
The "Beginner" school from drumfreaks.de in the Kirstein edition covers the most important basics of drumming. It starts with the correct stick grip and ends with the first proper grooves. Extensive videos accompany you on your way to becoming a drummer.
So get out of the rehearsal room and let the show begin!

It makes a huge fun to play on it and with the fourth tom anyway.
The only thing that bothers me is the hihat machine. Doesn't always respond. Let's see if a drum program makes it.
Variant XDrum DD-650 PLUS Mesh E-Drum Kit Set
This rating has been translated automatically. Original language
Assembly according to assembly instructions was okay. The manual of the controller names the individual controls, but not 100% of their function and their application. However, much is intuitive or results from trial and error - but questions remain.
The programming of three triggers (those are the parts that look like drums or cymbals) was wrong; however, by reconnecting the cables this problem was solved (Tom 4 was Crash 2 and Crash 2 was Tom 3 and Tom 3 was Tom 4).
Personally, I still don't find the sensitivity of the triggers sensitive enough even at the most sensitive setting - the hi-hat in particular ticks when played "quietly". However, the excellent ride cymbal makes up for this. The individual drum sounds are excellent; the adjustment possibilities first class.
The headphone is too tight for me and the pressure hurts after a while. The faux leather bumpers make it very warm very quickly and there is a risk of headaches. But the sound is excellent.
For me as a beginner definitely a luxurious part with great possibilities - I do not regret the fourth Tom NOT! I'm missing a beginner's practice program for standard beats and fills; YouTube will have to do for that now; and I want a DoubleBass foot machine. Oh, and "Yay!" for mesh! Don't forget to retension it slightly and put the kit up cat-proof - otherwise it might be a cat tree replacement.
Questions about product
Question by Daniel on 01.05.2025
Hello,
does the module have the possibility to receive Bluetooth?
Best regards
Daniel
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
No, you would need an external Bluetooth receiver for this. The following device would be suitable, for example, which you can then simply connect to the aux-in of the drum computer: https://www.kirstein.de/Zubehoer-Live-Studio/Bluetooth-Empfaenger-und-Sender/Omnitronic-BDT-5-0-Bluetooth-5-0-Transceiver.html?
Question by Benedikt on 21.01.2021
How do you estimate the space requirements (a x b cm) that should be available?
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
Approximately 180 cm x 150 cm.
Question by Sven Grywatz on 14.09.2020
Can the set also be used with a Roland Td 17, or is that less advisable?
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
Unfortunately, the DD-670 is not yet compatible with the TD-17 module.
Question by Christoph Donner on 30.06.2020
Dear Kirstein Team,
is it possible to add another crash pad to this set?
Kind regards
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
With this "Plus Set" all external slots are already occupied. Thus, the drum set is unfortunately no longer expandable in this condition.
