Sound Magic for Relaxation, Meditation and Inspiration!

You don’t need to be a devoted follower of spiritual teachings to feel the holistic, soothing effect of the warm, earthbound tones of Tibetan singing bowls. The vibrations and tones of the traditional sound vessels emanate an almost magical power. You intuitively sense how the sounds resonate with body and mind. The various techniques of striking or rubbing the bowl with the mallet create richly nuanced tones that speak to all the senses and bring about profound relaxation, unclouded lightness, and the sense of being at peace with yourself.

Singing bowls are used wherever emotional well-being is a top priority. You can let their calming effect flow into your private daily life, promote balance and harmony after a demanding day at work, or indulge and be inspired by professional treatments. Not least, singing bowls are also unusually interesting musical instruments that add striking accents to your arrangements. Some concrete examples of use are:

Origin

XDrum singing bowls are crafted in India using an elaborate process. While they were traditionally used in the Himalayas primarily as cooking and eating vessels, Buddhist monks discovered the bowls as meditation aids and thus gave them a whole new purpose.

Handmade Unique Pieces

XDrum singing bowls are produced through elaborate, painstaking handwork from 7 materials. This alloy consists of the metals copper, zinc, iron, nickel, aluminium, silver and gold. The exact composition can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. To achieve the final shape and its individual tone, the alloy is hammered into the desired form over a fire, often heated and cooled up to 30 times.

Unlike machine-made bowls, XDrum's handcrafted models are true unique pieces. A certain tolerance in the bowl's diameter and weight is perfectly normal and does not indicate any reduction in quality.

How to Use

To produce the beneficial tones and vibrations, the bowls are struck or rubbed with a mallet. In this way, the bowl can even be made to sing. When multiple bowls are played at the same time, a unique, enchanting sound pattern emerges.

Cushion

The singing bowl cushion serves as a base for the Tibetan singing bowl and affects the bowl's timbre and vibration behavior. It prevents the sound from being influenced by the surface—such as a table, floor, etc.—or by other background noises when the bowl is struck. This ensures a warm, long-lasting and soft tone. Another advantage of a singing bowl pad is the stable support provided by its flexible filling. On top of that, this visually beautiful cushion also presents your bowl attractively!

Tibetan singing bowls speak to body, mind and soul—and open the way to new horizons!
