The XDrum singing bowls are crafted in India using an elaborate process. While in the Himalayas they were primarily used as cooking and eating vessels, Buddhist monks discovered singing bowls as meditation aids and thus gave the bowls a completely new purpose.

Handmade Unique Pieces

XDrum singing bowls are made with painstaking handcraft from 7 materials. This alloy consists of the metals copper, zinc, iron, nickel, aluminum, silver, and gold. The exact composition may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. To achieve the final shape and individual sound, the alloy is hammered over a fire into the desired form. It is often heated and cooled up to 30 times during this process.

Unlike machine-made singing bowls, the handmade XDrum models are unique pieces. Some tolerance in diameter and weight of the bowl is quite normal and does not represent a reduction in quality.

Handling
