XDrum Omshanti Singing Bowl 17 cm Set incl. Cushion

Sound Magic for Relaxation, Meditation and Inspiration!

You don't have to be a devoted follower of spiritual ideas to sense the holistic, soothing effect of the warm, earthbound harmonies of Tibetan singing bowls. The vibrations and tones of these traditional sound vessels exert an almost magical power. You intuitively feel how the sounds harmonize body and mind. The different techniques of striking and rubbing the bowl with the mallet produce nuanced tones that engage every sense and bring about deep relaxation, unclouded lightness, and the feeling of being at peace with yourself.

Applications

Singing bowls are used wherever emotional well-being is the highest priority. You can let their calming effect flow into your private daily life, promote harmony and balance after a stressful workday, or be pampered and inspired by professional treatments. Last but not least, singing bowls are also exceptionally interesting musical instruments that add striking accents to your arrangements. Some concrete examples are:

• Stress relief during everyday life
• Wellness treatments in spa facilities
• Sound massages in psychotherapeutic contexts
• Playful use in children's groups
• Yoga and meditation
• Pregnancy support
• Sound therapy in care settings
• Creative dance

The unique interplay of round, harmonious tones and gentle vibrations helps you let go, find your center, and relax. Singing bowl sessions can therefore also help with sleep and concentration disorders, muscle tension and other complaints.

Origin

The XDrum singing bowls are made in India using an elaborate process. While they were once used primarily as cooking and eating vessels in the Himalayas, Buddhist monks discovered their value as aids to meditation and gave the bowls a whole new purpose.

Handmade Originals

XDrum singing bowls are crafted by hand from a blend of seven materials. This alloy consists of the metals copper, zinc, iron, nickel, aluminum, silver and gold. The exact composition can vary from maker to maker. To achieve the final shape and individual tone, the alloy is hammered into the desired form over a fire. It is often heated and cooled up to 30 times in the process.

Unlike machine-made bowls, XDrum's hand-crafted models are unique one-offs. A certain tolerance in diameter and weight is perfectly normal and does not indicate lower quality.

Handling

To produce the beneficial tones and vibrations, the bowls are struck or rubbed with a mallet. In this way, a bowl can even be made to sing. When several bowls are played together, a magical, enchanting sonic pattern emerges.

Cushion

The bowl cushion serves as a base for the Tibetan singing bowl and affects its tone color and vibration behavior. It prevents the sound from being influenced by the surface beneath—such as a table or the floor—or by other ambient noises when the bowl is struck. Thus, the cushion ensures a warm, long-lasting and soft tone. Another advantage of a bowl pad is the stable support provided by the flexible filling. In addition, this beautiful cushion also presents your singing bowl attractively!
