XDrum Omshanti Singing Bowl 22 cm Set incl. Cushion

Sound Magic for Relaxation, Meditation and Inspiration!

You really don't have to be a devoted follower of spiritual concepts to sense the holistic, calming effect of the warm, earthbound harmonies of Tibetan singing bowls. The vibrations and tones of these traditional sound vessels radiate an almost magical power. You instinctively feel how the sounds harmonize with body and mind. The various techniques of striking and rubbing the bowl with a mallet produce nuanced tones that appeal to all the senses and induce deep relaxation, unclouded lightness, and a feeling of being at peace with yourself.

Applications

Singing bowls are used wherever emotional well-being is the highest priority. You can let their calming effect flow into your private everyday life, promote harmony and balance after a stressful workday, or treat and inspire yourself through professional applications. Last but not least, singing bowls are of course also exceptionally interesting musical instruments that add striking accents to your arrangements. Some concrete examples are:

• Stress relief in daily life
• Wellness treatments in spa settings
• Sound massages in psychotherapeutic settings
• Playful use in children's groups
• Yoga and meditation
• Pregnancy support
• Sound therapy in care settings
• Creative dance

The unique interplay of round, harmonious tones and gentle vibrations helps you let go, find your center, and relax. Singing bowl sessions can therefore also help with sleep and concentration disorders, muscle tension, and other complaints.

Origin

XDrum singing bowls are produced in India using an elaborate process. While they were once used in the Himalaya primarily as cooking and eating vessels, Buddhist monks discovered the bowls as aids to meditation and thereby gave them an entirely new purpose.

Handmade Originals

XDrum singing bowls are crafted painstakingly by hand from seven materials. This alloy consists of the metals copper, zinc, iron, nickel, aluminum, silver, and gold. The exact composition can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. To achieve the final shape and individual tone, the alloy is hammered into the desired form over a fire, often being heated and cooled up to 30 times.

Unlike machine-made bowls, XDrum's handcrafted models are unique originals. A certain tolerance in diameter and weight is quite normal and does not indicate any reduction in quality.

How to Use

To produce the beneficial tones and vibrations, the bowls are struck with or rubbed by a mallet. This technique can even make the bowl sing. When several bowls are played at the same time, they create a distinct, enchanting sound pattern.

Cushion

The singing bowl cushion serves as a base for the Tibetan bowl and influences the bowl's tonal color and vibration behavior. It prevents the sound from being affected by the surface—such as a table or the floor—or by other background noises when the bowl is struck. As a result, the cushion ensures a warm, long-lasting, and soft tone. Another advantage of a singing bowl pad is the stable support provided by its flexible filling. In addition, this visually beautiful cushion also showcases your singing bowl decoratively!

Tibetan singing bowls speak to body, mind and soul and open the way for you to discover new horizons!
