Classic Cantabile UP-1 SM Upright E-Piano Matte Black

Elegant Design Meets Exquisite Sound and Extensive Features!

Given its feature set and high-quality keyboard, the UP-1 from Classic Cantabile is undeniably a premium digital piano. At the same time, it sits in a price range that keeps the instrument attractive for ambitious beginners. That makes the striking UP-1 a genuine digital piano revolution!

40 High-Quality Sounds with Multisampling

With a total of 40 sounds—each equipped with multisampling—the discerning pianist has a wide palette to experiment with different timbres. From piano and strings to organ and harpsichord: the UP-1 fuels your creativity with its possibilities. Thanks to multisampling technology, where every piano key uses several different samples, the UP-1 upright piano sets new standards in piano tone.

Weighted Hammer Keyboard with Keybed Simulation and Synthetic Ivory Surface

The weighted keyboard, keybed simulation and triple-sensor system of the UP-1 authentically recreate the feel of an acoustic piano. The Ivory-Touch surface on the keys also provides an incredibly refined tactile response. Velocity sensitivity lets you play the digital piano like a traditional upright or a concert grand. The keyboard's dynamic response can be adjusted in five stages via the Touch-Response function.

256-Note Polyphony

The UP-1 can reproduce up to 256 notes simultaneously, making it possible to play pieces from a wide range of genres (classical, rock, pop, etc.) in stereo while using multiple voices at once.

USB-to-Host Compatible with Popular Piano Apps

The USB-to-Host output lets you connect the UP-1 to a computer, tablet or laptop. Via the common app stores you can pair the UP-1 with popular piano apps such as Flowkey, Skoove or SimplyPiano. Beginners especially benefit from the learning features, and there are also numerous recording apps available. The UP-1 is not only compatible with Android apps—it also connects conveniently to iPad and iPhone.

Damper Resonance

The UP-1's damper resonance function reliably simulates the inner life of an acoustic piano, so every pedaled key produces the natural resonance you'd expect.

22 Built-In Effects

To further refine the piano sound, the digital piano offers a total of 22 effects (10 reverb effects, 12 chorus effects). That way you can always find the right sound to match the mood you want.

Layer and Split Functions

The "Layer" and "Split" functions let you comfortably stack or combine two sounds. This enables the creation of impressive sonic textures. The Split function divides the keyboard so that, for example, you can have strings on the left hand and a piano sound on the right. The volume of each side can be adjusted independently.

Twinova Function

The Twinova function was developed for teachers and students: it divides the keyboard and pedals into two halves, creating two independent keybeds ideal for demanding piano lessons or practice sessions at home. The pedals can also be assigned separately left and right, so you can effectively play on two separate pianos using a single instrument!

Extensive Connectivity with USB MP3 Player & Recorder

Another highlight is the UP-1's wide range of connections and its built-in MP3 recorder. The 6.3 mm jack microphone/aux input also makes the piano attractive for entertainers. With the integrated USB MP3 recorder you can record directly to a USB stick. The neat part: all signals (vocals, keystrokes and any external audio sources) are stored in a single stereo MP3 file. If the built-in hi-fi speakers don't meet your demands, the stereo AUX output lets you connect to a PA system or active speakers.

Transpose Function

The transpose functions let you shift the instrument in semitone steps, so it can be optimally adapted to different tuning contexts, tunings and ensembles.

Metronome and Headphone Jacks

To keep you in time, the UP-1 features an integrated metronome that, in addition to displaying beats per minute, shows tempo markings (Adagio, Andante, Allegro, etc.). The tempo can be smoothly adjusted via a dial. Two headphone jacks make it easy to play in the evening or at night when you don't want to disturb others.

3 Pedals for Maximum Dynamic Control

Like a concert grand, the UP-1 provides three pedals to shape tone and dynamics: the soft pedal (played with the left foot), the sostenuto pedal and the damper pedal, which lets notes decay. The sostenuto pedal sustains already-played notes, while the soft pedal produces a gentler tonal character.

HiFi Speaker System with Preset EQ

For powerful sound, the UP-1 features a built-in stereo hi-fi speaker system that can be tailored to your needs via the integrated equalizer with 6 presets.

Above all, the arrangement of the four speakers delivers excellent sound:

The two bass speakers are mounted on the underside of the keybed. From there they radiate sound downward, and the sound reflected from the floor creates a very natural room ambience. As a real standout in this price range, the two speakers for the high frequencies are aimed directly at the pianist. This special arrangement produces an exceptionally nuanced sound with full character. Playback of external sources via the USB and AUX inputs is also a real treat for the ears.
