Elegant Design Meets Exquisite Sound and Extensive Features!
Given its wide range of features and high-quality keyboard, the Classic Cantabile UP-1 is indisputably a premium digital piano. At the same time, its price makes the instrument attractive for ambitious beginners. The result: the striking UP-1 is a genuine digital-piano revolution!
40 High-Quality Sounds with Multisampling
With a total of 40 sounds, all featuring multisampling, the discerning pianist has a broad palette to experiment with different timbres. From piano and string instruments to organ and harpsichord: the UP-1 fuels your creativity. Thanks to multisampling technology, where each piano key uses several different samples, the UP-1 upright piano sets new standards in piano tone.
Weighted Hammer Keyboard with Let-Off Simulation and Synthetic Ivory Surface
The weighted keyboard, let-off simulation and triple-sensor design of the UP-1 authentically recreate the touch of an acoustic piano. The Ivory-Touch surface of the keys delivers an incredibly premium tactile response. Thanks to velocity response, the digital piano can be played like a classic upright or a concert grand. The keyboard's dynamics can be adjusted in five stages via the Touch-Response function.
256-Note Polyphony
The UP-1 can reproduce up to 256 notes simultaneously, allowing you to play pieces from any genre (classical, rock, pop, etc.) with stereo sound while using multiple voices at once.
USB-to-Host Compatible with Popular Piano Apps
The USB-to-Host output lets you connect the UP-1 to a computer, tablet or laptop. Via the major app stores you can pair the UP-1 with popular piano apps such as Flowkey, Skoove or SimplyPiano. Beginners benefit especially from the learning features, and a wide range of recording apps is also available. The UP-1 is compatible with Android apps and connects comfortably to iPad and iPhone as well.
Damper Resonance
The UP-1's damper-resonance function reliably simulates the inner life of an acoustic piano. As a result, every pedaled keystroke rings with its natural resonance.
22 Built-In Effects
To further refine the piano sound, the digital piano offers a total of 22 effects (10 reverb effects, 12 chorus effects). That ensures the right sound for any desired mood.
Layer and Split Functions
Using the "Layer" and "Split" functions you can comfortably stack and combine two sounds to create rich sonic textures. The Split function divides the keyboard so, for example, strings can sound on the left hand while a piano voice plays on the right. The volume of each side can be adjusted independently.
Twinova Function
The Twinova function is designed for teachers and students, allowing the keyboard and pedals to be split into two halves. This creates two independent keyboards ideal for demanding lessons or home practice. The pedals can also be assigned separately left and right, so you can play as if at two separate pianos on a single instrument!
Extensive Connectivity with USB MP3 Player & Recorder
Another highlight is the UP-1's wide connectivity and its built-in MP3 recorder. The 6.3 mm jack microphone/AUX input makes the piano attractive for entertainers. With the integrated USB MP3 recorder you can record directly to a USB stick. The neat bit: all signals (vocals, keystrokes and any external audio sources) are saved in a single stereo MP3 file. If the built-in hi-fi speakers don't meet your demands, the stereo AUX output lets you connect to a PA system or active speakers.
Transpose Function
The transpose function lets you shift the instrument in semitone steps, so it can be optimally adapted to different tunings, sonic environments and ensembles.
Metronome and Headphone Jacks
To stay in time the UP-1 features an integrated metronome that, besides showing beats per minute, also offers Italian tempo markings (Adagio, Andante, Allegro, etc.). The tempo can be adjusted smoothly via a rotary control. Two headphone jacks make it easy to play in the evening or at night without disturbing others.
3 Pedals for Maximum Dynamics
Like a concert grand, the UP-1 provides three pedals to shape sound and dynamics: the soft pedal (played with the left foot), the sostenuto pedal, and the damper pedal, which allows notes to decay. The sostenuto pedal sustains already-played notes longer, while the soft pedal yields a gentler tone.
Hi-Fi Speaker System with Preset EQ
For a powerful sound, the UP-1 features a built-in stereo hi-fi speaker system that can be tailored to your preferences via the integrated equalizer with 6 presets.
Above all, the arrangement of the four speakers delivers excellent sound: The two woofers are mounted under the keybed and radiate sound downward so that the floor-reflected waves create a very natural room ambience. As a real highlight in this price range, the two high-frequency speakers are directed straight toward the pianist. This special arrangement produces an exceptionally nuanced tone with full character. Playback of external sources is also a treat thanks to the USB and AUX inputs.
OLED Display
The easy-to-read OLED display gives you a clear overview in any playing situation and shows the selected sound, metronome tempo, chosen time signature and other useful information.
Lacquered Surface
The high-gloss versions of the UP-1 are not finished with a faux lacquer look but are fully lacquered and polished. That not only produces an absolutely premium appearance, it also makes the entire piano noticeably more resistant to accidental bumps at corners and edges.
