Ready For The Stage!
The DD-650 is packed with features that make this drum set a true workhorse on stage and in the rehearsal room: a two-piece HiHat pad on a real HiHat stand, a ride pad with 3 zones, premium sounds, and 6 faders for easy and fast selection of key parameters. Plus, the snare and kick pads with wooden shells deliver an incredibly realistic playing feel and look like a "real" drum kit. It’s a winner!
Drum Pads With Double-Layer Mesh Heads
If you expect realistic rebound from an e-drum, mesh heads are simply indispensable. All drum pads are equipped with mesh heads that are absolutely quiet and allow precise triggering. Since the heads can be "tuned" with a key, each pad feels like an acoustic drum. Except for the kick pad, all pads have both a head and rim trigger for two different sounds per pad.
Snare And Kick Pads With Wooden Shells!
A real highlight: the 14" snare with a genuine wooden shell is mounted on its own stand and offers familiar handling like its acoustic counterpart. This setup also prevents crosstalk to other pads. You immediately feel "at home." The kick pad also features a wooden shell and not only offers an absolutely realistic playing feel, but the 14" large mesh head also easily fits a double bass pedal.
Top-Quality Cymbal Pads
Ready to work with: the HiHat pad consists of two parts and can be mounted on any common HiHat stand. While the crash pads have two freely assignable zones, the ride pad even comes with its own bell trigger. Naturally, crash and ride pads can be choked by hand.
Premium Sounds And Plenty Of Options
The heart of the drum set—the module—offers 720 high-quality sounds with multisampling technology. From rock to pop, ethnic to electronic, you can create 15 custom drum sets, with every pad freely assignable and each sound finely adjustable in volume, panorama, pitch, and reverb. The user-friendly faders prove especially practical, allowing quick adjustments of important settings. For example, you can balance the volume ratios of individual instrument groups or control global effects (reverb, compressor, and equalizer). This is a feature you won’t want to miss, especially in live use.
Includes Rack
Almost the entire drum set (except HiHat, snare, and kick drum) is mounted on the sturdy rack, which saves space and enables quick setup. The tom pad mounts feature ball joints for stepless positioning of the pads.
Drum Stool
The stool has a round seat in leather look and stands on three non-slip rubber feet. It can be comfortably adjusted in height via a robust precision spindle. With the removable seat and foldable legs, this seat is quick and easy to transport. Its double-braced legs also withstand tough demands and provide uncompromising stability.
Comfortable Stereo Headphones
The KDJ-1000 delivers full, balanced sound with rich bass and clear highs. It offers plenty of volume yet clean and precise stereo imaging. Thanks to its low impedance, the KDJ-1000 can handle extreme volume levels on low-signal inputs. The soft padded, wide headband is adjustable in length. The entire headphone folds for space-saving storage. For mixing work, the comfortable ear cups can rotate 180° for classic "single ear monitoring." The thick, soft padding of the over-ear cups also provides good external noise isolation.
School
The "Beginner" school from drumfreaks.de in the Kirstein edition covers the essential basics of drumming. It starts with the correct stick grip and ends with the first proper grooves. Detailed videos accompany you on your journey to becoming a drummer.
Drumsticks
The XDrum sticks offer comfortable playability and excellent sound characteristics at an incredible price. Their grippy surface prevents annoying slipping, while the extra-hard wood ensures long durability.
So get out of the rehearsal room and let the show begin!

Assembly according to assembly instructions was okay. The manual of the controller names the individual controls, but not 100% of their function and their application. However, much is intuitive or results from trial and error - but questions remain.
The programming of three triggers (those are the parts that look like drums or cymbals) was wrong; however, by reconnecting the cables this problem was solved (Tom 4 was Crash 2 and Crash 2 was Tom 3 and Tom 3 was Tom 4).
Personally, I still don't find the sensitivity of the triggers sensitive enough even at the most sensitive setting - the hi-hat in particular ticks when played "quietly". However, the excellent ride cymbal makes up for this. The individual drum sounds are excellent; the adjustment possibilities first class.
The headphone is too tight for me and the pressure hurts after a while. The faux leather bumpers make it very warm very quickly and there is a risk of headaches. But the sound is excellent.
For me as a beginner definitely a luxurious part with great possibilities - I do not regret the fourth Tom NOT! I'm missing a beginner's practice program for standard beats and fills; YouTube will have to do for that now; and I want a DoubleBass foot machine. Oh, and "Yay!" for mesh! Don't forget to retension it slightly and put the kit up cat-proof - otherwise it might be a cat tree replacement.

It makes a huge fun to play on it and with the fourth tom anyway.
The only thing that bothers me is the hihat machine. Doesn't always respond. Let's see if a drum program makes it.
