For all fans of Celtic (and naturally other) music, the 29-string Celtic Harp from Classic Cantabile offers a cozy sound experience for everyone.

Typical Design

Characteristic of the Celtic harp is the typically curved shape of the pillar, as also found on the Irish coat of arms. The hook harp made of walnut has a range of 4 octaves (c-c4).

Tuning

The 29 strings are tuned diatonically in E-flat major, with blue and red strings indicating the positions of the notes C and F. By flipping up the respective hooks, the harp can be quickly retuned to another key, allowing very flexible playing with others. For initial attempts and easier understanding, a C tuning is also possible. The two tuning keys serve to tune the instrument: while the square key is used on the tuning pegs, the hex key is for the fine tuners on the opposite side.

Lever Mechanism

The special mechanism of this harp makes it a versatile companion in various keys. Each individual string is equipped with a half-step lever, which, when engaged, raises the pitch of the respective string by a semitone. This way, you are prepared for every sharp key with just a few moves.

To avoid transport damage, the harp is shipped with levers flipped up. First, all are flipped down so that all strings can vibrate freely. In this state, the harp is tuned to C major, and it is completely normal that the strings need regular retuning during the first weeks. Once the strings have sufficiently stretched, the tuning holds much longer.

Tuner with Metronome

This universal device is the perfect companion for virtually any instrument. Not only can almost any instrument be tuned accurately with the contact microphone and wide tuning range, but the built-in metronome also keeps everything in the right tempo. The calibratable tuner offers 5 tuning modes, a tone generator, and a jack input with contact microphone. The metronome has a wide tempo range from 30 to 260 beats per minute, 9 time signatures, and various rhythm subdivisions.

Harp School

Kristine Warmhold explains all important information for harp beginners in this school. From harp setup, tuning, and posture to various plucking techniques, the essential skills are developed through songs. Detailed explanations for each exercise are provided in additional videos available for download. All songs are demonstrated in the videos. This gives you a better idea at the start of how the finished piece should sound, and later you can play "duets" with Kristine. All videos are played on the small 12-string harp, so you can start with any larger harp as well.

Kirstein Solid Music Stand

This music stand offers a tripod construction for optimal stability. Naturally, the legs are equipped with solid, non-slip rubber caps. The music tray can be tilted and fixed with a screw. Thanks to the approx. 4 cm deep music tray, this stand is also perfectly suited for thick music books.
