Typical Design in a Compact Size

Characteristic of the Celtic harp is the typically curved shape of the column, as also found on the Irish coat of arms. The harp made of walnut is also the ideal travel harp due to its compact size.

Tuning

The twelve strings are tuned diatonically in C major, with the blue and red strings indicating where the notes C and F are located. The two tuning keys are used to tune the instrument: The square key is applied to the tuning pegs, while the hex key is used for the fine tuners on the opposite side. It is completely normal for harp strings to require regular retuning during the first few weeks. Once the strings have stretched sufficiently, the tuning will hold much longer.

Tuner with Metronome

This universal device is the perfect companion for virtually any instrument. The calibratable tuner offers 5 tuning modes, a tone generator, and a jack input with contact microphone. The metronome has a wide tempo range from 30 to 260 beats per minute, 9 time signatures, and various rhythm subdivisions.

Harp School

Kristine Warmhold explains all the important information for harp beginners in this school. From assembly, tuning, and holding the harp to various plucking techniques, the most important skills are developed through the songs. Detailed explanations for each exercise are available in additional videos, which can be downloaded. All songs are also played in the videos. This gives you a better idea of how the finished piece should sound at first, and later you can play "duets" with Kristine. All videos are played on the small 12-string harp, so you can also start with any larger harp.
