Typical Design In A Compact Size

The Celtic harp is known for the distinctive curved shape of its pillar, the same silhouette seen on the Irish coat of arms. Crafted from walnut, this compact harp is also the ideal travel harp.

Tuning

The twelve strings are tuned diatonically to C major, with the blue and red strings marking the C and F notes. Two tuning keys are used to tune the instrument: the square key fits the tuning pegs, while the hex key is for the fine tuners on the opposite side. Harp strings commonly need regular retuning during the first weeks. Once the strings have stretched sufficiently, the tuning will hold much longer.

Tuning Device With Metronome

This versatile device is the perfect companion for virtually any instrument. The calibratable tuner offers 5 tuning modes, a tone generator, and a jack input for the contact microphone. The metronome covers a wide tempo range from 30 to 260 beats per minute, supports 9 time signatures, and offers various rhythm subdivisions.

Harp School

In this course Kristine Warmhold explains all the essentials for harp beginners. From assembling, tuning and holding the harp to various plucking techniques, the songs guide you through the key skills. You’ll find detailed explanations for each exercise in the additional downloadable videos, and all the songs are demonstrated in those videos. That gives you a clearer idea of how the finished piece should sound at first, and later you can play "in duet" with Kristine. All videos are performed on the small 12-string harp, so you can get started on any larger harp as well.
