Getting Started Is Easy!
Kristine Warmhold walks harp beginners through everything they need to know. From harp setup, tuning and posture to a variety of plucking techniques, the core skills are taught using the songs.
Includes Downloadable Videos!
You'll find a detailed explanation of each exercise in the additional videos, which are available to download. The videos also demonstrate every song, giving you an immediate idea of how the finished piece should sound; later you can play "in duet" with Kristine. All videos are performed on the small 12-string harp, so you can start on any larger harp as well.
Kristine Warmhold
Her journey into the wonderful world of music began at the tender age of 10. After accompanying instrumental lessons (recorder/piano/guitar/flute), she went on to study music at the University of the Arts Bremen following her Abitur.
She completed her studies with a diploma in instrumental pedagogy, specializing in recorder, and then took up teaching positions at various music schools; she also served as a juror for the "Jugend musiziert" competition.
She additionally completed intensive private vocal training as well as formal harp studies.
Her musical development was further shaped by participating in a wide range of projects. As a member of the "Bremer Blockflötentrio", the "Vokalensemble des Forum für Alte Musik Bremen" and the Gothic/Darkwave band "Also", she has always explored many facets of music. In 2013 she took on the direction of the Colorata vocal ensemble, in which she also performs as a mezzo-soprano and harpist.
