Classic Cantabile ND-30 All Natural Frame Drum 30"

Natural Sound in Impressive Dimensions!

The Classic Cantabile ND-30 All Natural Frame Drum 30" combines a solid ash frame with genuine natural hide and a consistently natural choice of materials. The particularly large frame drum, also called a frame drum or hand drum, delivers a warm, powerful and deeply resonant sound. It can be played with the hands or with the included beater and is suitable for rhythmic playing as well as for meditation, sound work and consciously crafted soundscapes.

Solid Ash Frame

The stable foundation of the ND-30 is a frame made from solid ash. The natural wood gives the drum an authentic, original appearance and emphasizes its organic character. With a wall thickness of 12 mm, the frame has a solid construction. The enormous diameter of 30" (76.2 cm) offers an especially generous playing surface and provides the basis for an imposing, room-filling drum sound with clear presence.

Genuine Natural Hide with Unique Appearance

The playing surface is made of genuine natural hide. This natural material shapes both the look and the lively tonal character of the frame drum. Since the skin is a natural product, variations in color, pattern and texture can occur. These natural differences are part of the instrument's individual character and make each drum visually unique. At the same time, the natural hide supports a warm, organic sound with immediate response.

Made Exclusively from Natural Materials

Natural materials are clearly at the heart of the Classic Cantabile ND-30. Solid ash, natural hide, leather and cord define the construction and appearance of the frame drum. On the back there is a leather cross fixed with a cord. This construction provides a secure hold and at the same time complements the instrument's original, pared-back design in a functional way.

Enormous 30" Playing Surface for Powerful Sound

With its unusually large 30" playing surface, the frame drum delivers a particularly powerful, deep and expressive sound. Strong impulses can be produced as easily as finer rhythmic accents. Different striking positions on the natural hide allow for varied tonal colors and make the ND-30 a versatile instrument for free rhythms, steady pulse patterns and atmospheric sound design.

Playable by Hand or with the Beater

The hand drum can be played directly with the hands or with the included beater. Hand playing lets you shape dynamics and timbre very directly. The beater, on the other hand, produces defined, powerful impulses and clearly brings out the large drum's full-bodied character. Thus, despite its deliberately simple, non-tunable design, the ND-30 offers versatile options for different playing styles.

For Meditation, Spirituality and Intensive Sound Work

With its natural choice of materials and powerful sound, the ND-30 is especially aimed at people interested in meditation, spirituality, esotericism, sound work or natural musical instruments. At the same time it suits percussion fans and anyone looking for an unusually large frame drum with an authentic character. Its original construction supports both conscious listening and communal music-making as well as free rhythmic improvisation.

Non-Tunable and Uncomplicated Design

The Classic Cantabile ND-30 is built as a non-tunable frame drum, focusing on easy handling and its natural basic sound. No tuning work or additional adjustments are required. The diameter of 76.2 cm offers an unusually large playing surface for expressive strikes, powerful impulses and nuanced rhythms.
