Classic Cantabile ND-24 All Natural Frame Drum 24"

Natural Sound With Impressive Depth!

The Classic Cantabile ND-24 All Natural Frame Drum 24" pairs a solid ash frame with genuine natural hide and a consistently natural choice of materials. This extra-large frame drum, also called a frame drum or hand drum, delivers a warm, powerful, and characterful tone. You can play it by hand or with the included beater, and it's equally suited to rhythmic playing, meditation, soundwork, and intentionally crafted sonic landscapes.

Solid Ash Frame

The ND-24's stable foundation is a solid ash frame. The natural wood gives the drum an authentic, organic look and emphasizes its earthy character. With a wall thickness of 12 mm, the frame features a robust construction. The 24" (61 cm) diameter provides an especially generous playing surface and lays the foundation for a full, room-filling, and present drum sound.

Genuine Natural Hide With a Unique Appearance

The playing surface is made of genuine natural hide. This natural material shapes both the look and the lively tonal character of the frame drum. Because the skin is a natural product, variations in color, pattern, and texture may occur. These natural differences are part of the instrument's individual character and make each drum visually unique. At the same time, the natural hide supports a warm, organic sound with immediate response.

Crafted Entirely From Natural Materials

Natural materials are clearly at the heart of the Classic Cantabile ND-24. Solid ash, natural hide, leather, and cord define the drum's construction and appearance. A leather cross, secured with a cord, sits on the back. This design provides a secure grip while functionally complementing the drum's original, understated aesthetic.

Large 24" Playing Surface for Powerful Sound

With its especially large 24" playing surface, the frame drum delivers a powerful, deep, and expressive sound. You can produce strong pulses as well as finer rhythmic accents. Different striking positions on the natural hide enable varied tonal colors and make the ND-24 a versatile instrument for free rhythms, steady pulse patterns, and atmospheric soundscapes.

Playable by Hand or With the Beater

You can play the hand drum directly with your hands or with the included beater. Hand technique lets you shape dynamics and tone color very directly. The beater produces defined, powerful impulses and highlights the full-bodied character of the large drum. So despite its intentionally simple, non-tunable design, the ND-24 offers versatile options for different playing styles.

For Meditation, Spirituality and Rhythmic Playing

With its natural materials and warm, powerful sound, the ND-24 is aimed especially at people interested in meditation, spirituality, esotericism, soundwork, or natural instruments. It's also suitable for percussion fans and anyone seeking a particularly large, easy-to-play frame drum with authentic character. Its elemental construction supports mindful listening as well as group playing and free rhythmic improvisation.

Non-Tunable, Uncomplicated Design

The Classic Cantabile ND-24 is built as a non-tunable frame drum, focusing on simple handling and its natural core tone. No tuning work or additional adjustments are required. The 61 cm diameter provides an especially large playing surface for expressive strikes, powerful impulses, and nuanced rhythms.
