Kawai E-Piano with Stunning Sound!
The CN201 uses an improved version of the Responsive Hammer III keyboard with enhanced key guidance and new key damping for quieter playing. The superb Shigeru Kawai SK-EX grand piano sound is now reproduced even more detailed thanks to the newly designed power supply. The new Low Balance feature allows intelligent sound adjustment for maximum expression, especially at low volumes.
Additionally, the CN201 now features Bluetooth® Audio connectivity, allowing wireless playback of audio songs from smartphones/tablets through the CN201. The new features of the CN201 can be intuitively selected via the newly designed control panel with a 2.5" OLED display. Operation is also possible via Kawai's PianoRemote and PiaBookPlayer apps, enabling use of sounds, settings, and lesson songs with iOS or Android devices.
Authentic Playing Feel
The Responsive Hammer III (RHIII) action of the CN201 digital piano incorporates various features of a grand piano action essential for realistic movement. Thanks in large part to the precise triple sensor technology, the player experiences a very natural playing feel. The keyboard weighting is graduated to reflect the heavier bass hammers and lighter treble hammers of an acoustic piano, while structural reinforcements in the action ensure higher stability during fortissimo and staccato passages. Furthermore, the CN201 digital piano features Kawai's "Ivory Touch" key surfaces, which support playing by absorbing finger moisture. Additionally, the CN201 keyboard includes touchpoint simulation for perfect control during pianissimo playing.

The CN201 digital piano reproduces the excellent sound of the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand. The globally respected Shigeru Kawai models are prized for their tonal clarity and are regularly featured on the stages of concert halls and music institutions. Additionally, the CN201 digital piano includes the distinctive sound of the Kawai EX concert grand, which—alongside other grands—is often internationally chosen by professional pianists for events such as the Chopin, Tchaikovsky, or Rubinstein piano competitions. All 88 keys of these two extraordinary grand models were meticulously recorded and analyzed. The unique character of each note and the wide dynamic range of the sounds allow pianists to express their emotional playing, from soft pianissimo to powerful fortissimo.
Bluetooth® Audio/MIDI
In addition to the USB-to-host port, the CN201 is equipped with Bluetooth® MIDI technology, enabling wireless communication with smart devices (e.g., smartphones or tablets). This gives you the ability to comfortably use a wide range of music-related apps such as the Kawai PianoRemote app or the PiaBookPlayer app in conjunction with your CN201 digital piano. Or simply use the Bluetooth® audio interface. Just connect your smartphone to the CN201 and enjoy music directly through the CN201’s speaker system. This is especially recommended for play-along sessions.
