The Responsive Hammer III (RHIII) action of the CN301 digital piano features various characteristics of a grand piano action essential for delivering a realistic playing experience. Thanks in large part to the precise triple sensor technology, the player enjoys a very natural touch. The keyboard weight is graduated to reflect the heavier bass hammers and lighter treble hammers of an acoustic piano, while structural reinforcements in the action ensure greater stability during fortissimo and staccato passages. Furthermore, the CN301 digital piano features Kawai's "Ivory Touch" key surfaces, which support playing by absorbing finger moisture. Additionally, the CN301 keyboard includes touchpoint simulation for perfect control during pianissimo playing.

The beautiful sounds of the Kawai SK-EX and EX concert grands and the SK5 grand are the heart of the new CN301 model from Kawai. All 88 keys of these extraordinary instruments were carefully recorded, precisely analyzed, and reproduced on the instrument using a special process.

The individual sampling of each key and its playback guarantee an excellent sound image with the character of the recorded concert grands. Playing these sounds on the CN301 keyboard is a unique experience. The built-in reverb supports the beautiful tone very vividly and realistically.

With the extensive possibilities of the Virtual Technician, the sounds can be perfectly customized. You can adjust intonation, string resonance, damper resonance, damper noise, hammer noise, and other details individually.

With many new sounds such as the Shigeru Kawai SK5 grand, Electric Grand, new electric pianos, new harpsichord, etc., the CN301 impresses.

Bluetooth® Audio/MIDI

In addition to the USB-to-host port, the CN301 is also equipped with Bluetooth® MIDI technology, allowing wireless communication with smart devices (e.g., smartphone or tablet). This gives you the opportunity to comfortably use a wide range of music-related apps such as the Kawai PianoRemote App or the PiaBookPlayer App in conjunction with your CN301 digital piano. Or simply use the Bluetooth® Audio interface. Just connect your smartphone to the CN301 and enjoy all your music directly through the CN301’s speaker system. This is especially recommended for play-along.
