Cerveny Flugelhorn - "Mistrinanka" Model for the Moravian Sound!

Instruments from Cerveny already won numerous international awards in the 19th century, including at the World Exhibitions in 1889 in Paris and 1893 in Chicago. In the 20th century, the Czech company grew into one of the world’s largest manufacturers of brass instruments. Even today, Cerveny sets international standards with its high-quality instruments.

Inimitable Sound

The use of high-quality brass sheets and the finest brass and nickel silver tubing ensure durability combined with optimal tonal qualities. The traditional Cerveny construction forms the basis for excellent tuning, response, and the unique sound — a sound that can only truly originate in the Czech Republic.

Bell

The traditionally crafted bell provides a very easy response and impressive sound projection. The bell of the CVFH 703 Flugelhorn has a diameter of 135 mm.

Long Service Life

The leadpipe is the most vulnerable to corrosion. The nickel silver material used for the leadpipe significantly increases the instrument’s lifespan. The valve casing and valve ports of the "Mistrinanka" model are also made of nickel silver.

Double Minibal Joints

The Minibal joints guarantee perfect and reliable valve action. The piston valves, as well as the valve casings, are manufactured on modern CNC machining centers and then hand-lapped (finely processed and smoothed).

The aesthetic and ergonomic design of the finger buttons ensures maximum playing comfort. Additionally, the innovative and easily accessible trigger on the 3rd valve slide provides stable positioning and comfortable handling of the instrument.
