The All-In-One Stage Piano!
The MP7SE is the ultimate tool for every keyboardist. With the MP11SE's technology in the tone generator, DSP and D/A converters, plus 32 of the MP11SE's top sounds, the MP7SE delivers the same sound quality as its bigger sibling. Add features like the virtual tonewheel organ, 129 effects and AMP simulator from the MP11SE, four sections for internal sounds and four-zone master keyboard functionality, and you have a truly versatile instrument.
MP7SE New Features & Improvements (Compared to the MP7):
- New: Shigeru Kawai SK-EX and SK-5 grand piano sounds
- New: Responsive Hammer III keyboard
- New: Support for the new GFP-3 triple pedal (available as accessory)
- New: Classic side arms in glossy black design (similar to the VPC1)
- Improved: Added 'Undamped String Resonance' parameter in Virtual Technician
- Improved: Ability to use different expression pedals (ring/tip)
- Improved: Ability to invert controllers (e.g. for morphing between two sounds)
RH3 Keyboard With Weighted Keys, Ivory Touch Keytops And Let-Off Simulation
The RH3 keyboard was developed to authentically reproduce the delicate, natural touch of an acoustic grand. Its springless construction adapts the feel through moving hammers in a natural way and includes a let-off simulation. In addition, the 3-sensor system provides optimal repetition and playing control. Different weighting zones create a true grand feel. All keys also contain added weights and the hammer weighting has been carefully calculated to deliver a better balance between powerful fortissimo and fatigue-free control at pianissimo. The Ivory Touch keytops, with their ivory-like properties, absorb moisture and give the player a grippy surface for greater confidence and excellent playing control.
Impressive Recordings Of The Shigeru Kawai SK-EX, SK-5 And Kawai EX Grand Pianos Using Harmonic Imaging XL And 88-Key Sampling
The MP7SE reproduces the outstanding sound of the Kawai concert grands SK-EX, SK-5 and EX. All 88 keys of these three extraordinary grands were carefully recorded and analyzed. The unique character of each individual note and the wide dynamic range let the pianist express a full emotional performance... from soft pianissimo to powerful fortissimo. With the integrated Virtual Technician feature you can easily shape the sonic character of these acoustic piano voices—for example, adjusting the intensity of string and damper resonance or the sound of returning hammers. You can then add a reverb to give the sound additional spatial depth.
Great Vintage EPs, Dual Effects And Amp Simulator
The MP7SE also offers an excellent selection of vintage electric piano sounds, each with its own characteristic tone. Experience their natural, organic voices or refine them with popular effects before sending the sound to one of the five classic amplifiers the MP7SE simulates.
Classic Tonewheel Organs With Drawbar Control And Authentic Percussion
The MP7SE's tonewheel organ simulation turns the stage piano into a vintage electromechanical organ complete with nine real-time adjustable drawbars and authentic percussion control. Organ fans can create their own registrations, set the organ "aging," tweak the rotary speaker effect to taste, and save everything as one of the 256 SETUPs. Additionally, the keyboard contact point can be set in three stages, making authentic organ playing possible even on a stage piano.
High-Quality Strings, Pads, Synths, Basses And More
Alongside realistic acoustic pianos, vintage electric pianos and tonewheel organs, the MP7SE offers a wide range of high-quality strings, pads, synths, basses and many other useful sounds. These additional voices are perfect for layering, splitting or solo work. If the factory sounds don't satisfy you, you can tweak them using flexible ADSR parameters, filters with resonance/cut-off and other controls.
Four-Zone Master Keyboard Controller
The MP7SE features the classic MP-series four-zone concept, where each zone can be assigned an internal sound, an external MIDI channel, or both. Zones can be placed anywhere across the keyboard as splits, layers or custom ranges. Powerful customization options let you set and control parameters per zone. The MP7SE becomes a perfect all-in-one performance instrument.
Intuitive Operation, Large LCD, Real-Time Controls
The MP7SE's control panel is clearly structured and logically arranged. All functions are grouped where you'd expect them. A large LCD display and four assignable real-time knobs let you tweak parameters instantly without diving into menus—you can focus on playing instead of wrestling with complicated controls.
256 SETUP Memory: Plenty Even For The Most Demanding Pianist
All MP7SE settings—sounds with their edits, knob positions, etc.—can be saved as a SETUP and recalled at any time. The 256 SETUP memory slots make organization easy and many are preloaded with common use examples.
USB to Device Functionality With MP3/WAV/SMF Recording And Playback
The MP7SE's USB ports not only connect to a computer but also allow direct loading and saving to a USB storage device. This lets you back up your custom sounds and SETUPs and protects you in many live situations. USB drives can also play MP3, WAV or SMF files directly. The A-B loop function makes practicing specific song sections simple. The USB drive can also be used for direct recording in MP3 or WAV format, with the LINE-IN being recorded as well. That way you can quickly share audio files with bandmates via email, listen on your MP3 player or copy them to a computer for further processing—e.g. to burn an audio CD.
