Intuitive Functionality That Sparks Your Creativity

The KIT MODIFIER brings together Yamaha's decades of tone-shaping know-how with three easy-to-use knobs for AMBIENCE, COMPRESSION and EFFECT. Thanks to the Yamaha developers' relentless dedication, users benefit from a wide palette of sonic options—from the natural sound of a drum kit, through live-performance tones, to expansive spatial effects.

The AMBIENCE knob lets you precisely adjust the natural room component and the reverb level of a drum kit. For an acoustic drum sound, the AMBIENCE MODIFIER mixes in the recorded room ambience between 0–50%, and above the 50% mark it adds a high-quality reverb algorithm to the main signal.

The COMP and EFFECT knobs also use the one-knob operation familiar from Yamaha's PA series. The COMP effect, which can be dialed in subtly or aggressively, applies global compression to the kit's overall sound, while EFFECT controls the blend of internal effects. The processors remain fully editable and offer a long list of selectable effects.

All parameters of the internal instruments can be conveniently adjusted and tweaked via seven LED rotary faders. Using the fader-select button you can choose from six presets—each with 14 sub-presets—to pick the options that suit you best and control them intuitively with the LED rotary faders.

The LED rotary faders can also be used to control connected external devices or a DAW in live and studio situations.

Professional Headphone Amplifier

Knowing how important it is for a drummer to hear themselves loudly and clearly during a performance, Yamaha equipped the DTX-PROX module with a powerful high-end headphone amplifier designed for minimal distortion and an excellent signal-to-noise ratio. The onboard circuitry delivers top-tier HiFi sound to the drummer positioned in the sweet spot, tuned specifically for the needs of E-Drums.

Live-Set Function for Quick Setup Changes

The DTX-PROX features a special Live-Set function that lets you recall different combinations of kits, tempo settings, audio files, or backing tracks with a single button during live or streaming situations. In addition, various setups can include a Wav-&-Click-Sync function, allowing click settings with synchronized playback, a pre-count, or stopping the click after a specified time relative to audio files.

Connect via Bluetooth® and Save Performances

The DTX-PROX's Bluetooth® function lets you wirelessly connect your module to a smart device, a portable player, or a computer so you can enjoy your drumming alongside your favorite track. You can also make audio recordings to USB storage from devices connected via Bluetooth®, AUX, or USB, as well as recordings of your own performance.

Extensive Range of Training Functions

The best practice features from previous DTX models are of course included in the new DTX-PROX. Paired with an advanced programmable metronome, the module offers versatile recording functions, 10 training modes for players at different levels, and 37 training songs covering various genres. With the DTX10, every drummer should find the right tools for daily practice.

Includes Cubase AI

The DTX-PROX is delivered with a download code for the latest version of the powerful DAW solution Cubase AI. By connecting the DTX-PROX to a DAW via USB cable, you can carry out all the usual modern music-production tasks—recording, editing, and mixing—with the appropriate software.
