The Yamaha CLP-835 is a digital piano that fully responds to the player’s touch. Grand Expression Modeling reproduces the wide range of tonal variations created by the different force and speed when pressing and releasing the keys. This enables a more comprehensive playing experience that helps pianists develop genuine expressive skills.

Yamaha uses samples from two world-class concert grands: the bright, brilliant voice of the Yamaha CFX and the warm, deep resonance of the Bösendorfer Imperial. The unique sounds of these pianos feature rich overtones and lively resonances produced by the vibrations of the strings and soundboard, responding authentically to articulation and pedal use. With an even greater range of dynamic expression, Clavinova pianos offer richer tonal nuances than ever before.

The rhythm function adds more fun and swing to simple performances, while the audio recording feature lets you listen to your favorite performances on a computer or other device. Additionally, the built-in volume limiter prevents unwanted volume spikes.

Easy Control via the LCD Display

A clear display and user-friendly interface make it easy to select functions like rhythms and songs. Dedicated buttons on the control panel provide quick access to the voices of the Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial pianos.

The GrandTouch-S keyboard was designed to embody the feel of a grand piano keyboard. The goal is to give pianists the sensation of sensing the keys with their fingertips as if playing a grand piano, producing exactly the desired sound. Pianists shape their tone by perceiving changes in the feel and pressure of their fingers within the short duration of the keystroke—from the moment they press a key until it reaches its endpoint.

The GrandTouch pedals simulate the unique feel of a grand piano pedal, offering resistance when pressed and returning smoothly when released. They were developed to reduce playing fatigue and ensure stable operation. They also provide precise control over the sound, including the ability to use half-pedal positions.

Bluetooth Audio and MIDI

The built-in Bluetooth function allows the CLP-835 to connect effortlessly with other devices. This enables wireless transmission of audio and MIDI signals, which is especially convenient for practicing or using music apps. This makes the playing experience even more flexible and comfortable.
