Easy Operation, Convincing Sound, and High-Quality Weighted Hammer Keyboard!
The DP-18 from McGrey delivers a clear design and huge sound in a compact footprint. Above all, the high-quality keyboard with top-notch feel is unbeatable at this price. The slimline piano is the ideal beginner instrument for families who value a slim, elegant look and features perfectly tailored to newcomers.
Weighted Hammer Keyboard With Touch Sensitivity
The DP-18's weighted keyboard with real hammer action recreates the feel of an acoustic piano with traditional mechanics as authentically as possible. The 88 keys offer a certain 'natural' resistance when pressed, just like classic acoustic pianos. The keyboard is also touch-sensitive, meaning the notes sound at different volumes depending on how hard you press a key. To protect the keyboard reliably against dust, the DP-18 includes a key cover.
128-Voice Polyphony
Thanks to its 128-voice polyphony, the digital piano can reproduce up to 128 notes simultaneously. With this palette of available tones, players can use voices from a range of musical styles—from classical to rock—often with stereo sound.
128 Different Sounds
The selection of 128 high-quality sounds lets you accent melodies in different ways and create a wide variety of moods. Players get plenty of room to experiment. From piano and organ to string sounds, the digital piano offers a selection of classic voices.
Auto Accompaniment With 600 Styles
To keep things fresh, a full band or orchestra is always on hand to accompany the pianist. The integrated auto-accompaniment follows the chords you play with your left hand and adapts automatically. Altogether, the McGrey digital piano provides 600 different styles across a wide range of musical genres.
The 'Dual' and 'Split' Functions
With the "Dual" function you can layer two voices—such as strings and piano—on top of each other to create a particularly impressive, full sound. "Split" divides your keyboard into two separate zones. You can define these zones individually, assign different voices to each, and for example play strings with your left hand and piano with your right.
Metronome and Headphone Jacks
To help you keep time and tempo while practicing, the DP-18 includes a built-in metronome. You can adjust both tempo and metronome volume to suit your needs. The DP-18 also has two headphone jacks, so you can practice and play without disturbing others—your neighbor, for example. The second headphone jack even lets someone listen to your playing in "silent" mode.
The 'Soft', 'Sostenuto', and 'Sustain' Pedals
Like an acoustic grand, the DP-18 gives you three pedals to shape the sound of what you play. The soft pedal on the left—and the sostenuto pedal in the middle—are played with your left foot. The sustain pedal on the right is the most commonly used: it lets notes ring out, while the middle sostenuto pedal sustains only notes that were already held down. The left soft pedal reduces the volume of struck notes, producing a softer tone.
Metal Piano Bench
The piano bench combines elegant looks with quality features. Its sturdy metal legs and easy-care synthetic leather seat are just a few standouts. The bench has a seat made of durable, easy-care faux leather that looks elegant. The feet include plastic floor protectors to guard the floor against unsightly scratches.
Comfortable Stereo Headphones
The KH-238 delivers a full, balanced sound with rich bass and clear highs. It offers plenty of volume while maintaining clean, precise stereo imaging. The softly padded, wide headband is length-adjustable; the extension provides 12 steps on each side for an optimal fit. For extra comfort, the earcups swivel on two axes. The thick, soft padding of the over-ear cups also provides good external noise isolation. The inline volume control on the cable is always at hand, making it easy to use with a PC or MP3 player. The 3.5 mm stereo jack provides excellent transmission, and a 6.3 mm stereo adapter (stereo) is included.
Piano Method
This beginner method introduces the instrument in a playful, relaxed way. Starting with familiar, simple melodies up to two-handed performances of complete songs, it also covers a good deal of theoretical knowledge along the way. Sight-reading, rhythm, dynamics and more are addressed alongside the exercises. The straightforward exercises also ensure quick learning progress.
