Easy Operation, Convincing Full Tone and High-Quality Weighted Hammer-Action Keyboard!
The DP-18 from McGrey delivers a clean design and enormous tonal depth in a compact footprint. Above all, its high-quality keyboard with first-rate feel is unbeatable in this price class. This slimline piano is the ideal starter instrument for families who value a sleek, elegant appearance and features perfectly tailored to beginners.
Weighted Hammer-Action Keyboard With Velocity Sensitivity
The DP-18’s weighted keyboard with genuine hammer mechanism reproduces the feel of an acoustic piano with traditional action as authentically as possible. The 88 keys offer a certain "natural" resistance when pressed, just like on classic acoustic pianos. The keyboard is also velocity-sensitive, meaning notes sound louder or softer depending on how hard you press a key. To reliably protect the keyboard from dust, the DP-18 includes a key cover.
128-Voice Polyphony
With 128-voice polyphony, the electric piano can play up to 128 notes simultaneously. Thanks to this range of available tones, the player can apply voices from various musical styles—classical to rock—at any time, even in stereo.
128 Distinct Sounds
The selection of 128 high-quality sounds lets you emphasize melodies in different ways and create a wide range of moods. Players will enjoy plenty of room to experiment. From piano and organ to string sounds, the digital piano offers a selection of classic voices.
Auto Accompaniment With 600 Styles
To keep things interesting, a full band or complete orchestra is always ready to accompany the pianist. This is provided by the integrated auto-accompaniment, which follows the chords played with the left hand and adapts to them automatically. In total, the McGrey digital piano offers 600 different styles across a wide range of musical genres.
The "Dual" and "Split" Functions
With the "Dual" function you can layer two voices—for example strings and piano—on top of each other to combine them. That way you can easily create a particularly impressive, full sound. "Split" divides your keyboard into two separate zones. You can assign these zones individually with different voices and, for example, have strings on the left hand and piano on the right.
Metronome and Headphone Jacks
To help you keep the right beat and tempo while practicing, the DP-18 features an integrated metronome. Both tempo and metronome volume can be adjusted as desired. In addition, the DP-18 has two headphone jacks. These ensure you can practice and play anytime without disturbing, for example, the neighbors. The second headphone jack even lets someone else listen to your playing while you practice silently.
The "Soft", "Sostenuto" and "Sustain" Pedals
On the DP-18 digital piano you have three pedals just like on a concert grand, letting you shape the sound of the pieces you play. The soft pedal is on the left and, like the sostenuto pedal in the middle, is played with the left foot. The sustain pedal on the right is used most frequently; it lets all notes ring out, while the middle sostenuto pedal sustains only notes that were already played. The left soft pedal reduces the volume of struck notes and produces a softer tonal character.
Metal Piano Bench
The piano bench pairs an elegant look with high-quality features. Its sturdy construction with metal legs and the low-maintenance faux-leather seat cover are just some of the standout details. The bench has a seat surface made of durable, easy-care faux leather that delivers an elegant appearance. The bench's feet are fitted with plastic floor protectors to prevent unsightly scratches.
Comfortable Stereo Headphones
The KH-238 delivers a full, balanced sound with rich bass reproduction and clear highs. It offers plenty of volume while still providing clean, precise stereo imaging. The softly padded, wide headband is height adjustable; the slider provides 12 steps on each side for optimal fit. For extra wearing comfort the ear cups rotate on two axes. The thick, soft padding of the circumaural cups also provides good external noise isolation. The cable-integrated volume control is always at hand and makes use with a PC or mp3 player straightforward. The 3.5 mm stereo jack delivers excellent transmission, and a 6.3 mm stereo adapter is included.
Piano Method
This piano method introduces beginners to the instrument in a playful, relaxed way. Starting with familiar, simple melodies and advancing to two-handed playing of complete songs, it also teaches a good deal of theory along the way. Reading notation, rhythm, dynamics and much more are covered alongside the exercises. The straightforward exercises ensure rapid progress.
