The USB-to-Host output lets you connect the UP-1 to a computer, tablet or laptop. Through the common app stores you can pair the UP-1 with popular piano apps such as Flowkey, Skoove or Simply Piano. Like a grand piano, the UP-1 provides three pedals to shape tone and dynamics: the soft pedal (played with the left foot), the sostenuto pedal, and the damper pedal which lets notes ring out. The sostenuto pedal sustains already-played notes longer. The soft pedal produces a softer tone.

For powerful sound the UP-1 features a built-in stereo hi-fi speaker system, which can be tailored to your needs via the integrated equalizer with 6 presets.

From here they project sound downward, and the sound reflected from the floor creates a very natural room ambience. As a real rarity in this price range, the two speakers for the high frequencies are directed straight toward the pianist.
