The USB-to-host output serves to connect the UP-1 with computers, tablets, and laptops. Through popular app stores, it is possible to link the UP-1 with common piano apps such as Flowkey, Skoove, or Simplypiano. Especially beginners benefit from the learning opportunities; additionally, a variety of recording apps are available. The UP-1 is compatible not only with Android apps but also connects comfortably with iPad and iPhone.

Wide Range of Connections with USB MP3 Player & Recorder

Another revolution is the wide range of connections and the built-in MP3 recorder of the UP-1. The 6.3 mm jack microphone/AUX input also makes the piano attractive for entertainers. With the integrated USB MP3 recorder, recordings can be made directly to a USB stick. The highlight: all signals (vocals, keyboard playing, and any external audio sources) are saved in a stereo MP3 file. If the built-in hi-fi speakers do not meet your expectations, the stereo AUX output allows connection to a PA system or active speakers.

Transpose Function

The transpose functions allow the instrument to be transposed in semitone steps. This enables optimal adaptation to other sound environments, tunings, and ensembles.

Metronome and Headphone Outputs

To always stay in time, the UP-1 features an integrated metronome, which, besides displaying beats per minute, also shows Italian tempo markings (Adagio, Andante, Allegro, etc.). Like a grand piano, the UP-1 offers 3 pedals to influence sound and dynamics. The soft pedal, played with the left foot, the sostenuto pedal, and the damper pedal, which lets notes decay. The sostenuto pedal sustains already played notes longer. The soft pedal creates a softer sound.

For powerful sound, the UP-1 features a built-in stereo hi-fi speaker system, which can be adjusted to your needs via the integrated equalizer with 6 presets.

Especially the arrangement of the 4 speakers enables excellent sound: The two bass speakers are mounted on the underside of the playing table. From here, they project sound downward, with the sound reflected from the floor creating a very natural room sound. As a real highlight in this price range, the two speakers for the high tones are directed straight towards the pianist. This special arrangement results in an extremely nuanced sound image with full character. The USB and AUX inputs also make playback of external sound sources a delight.

OLED Display

The clearly readable OLED display ensures the best overview in every playing situation and shows, besides the selected sound, the metronome tempo, the selected time signature, and other useful information.
