Layer and Split Functions

The split function divides the keyboard so you can, for example, play strings with the left hand and piano with the right. The volume of each side can be adjusted independently.

Twinova Function

The Twinova function was created for teachers and students and allows the keyboard and pedals to be split into two halves. This creates two independent keyboards that are ideal for demanding piano lessons or practice sessions at home. The pedals can also be assigned separately to the left and right. That way you can play as if you had two separate pianos on a single instrument!

Extensive Connectivity with USB MP3 Player & Recorder

Another revolution is the extensive connectivity and the built-in MP3 recorder of the UP-1. The 6.3 mm jack mic/AUX input makes the piano attractive for entertainers. With the integrated USB MP3 recorder you can record directly to a USB stick. The clever bit: all signals (vocals, key strikes and any external audio sources) are saved in a single stereo MP3 file. If the built-in hi-fi speakers don't meet your needs, the stereo AUX output lets you connect to a PA system or active speakers.

Transpose Function

The transpose function lets you shift the instrument in semitone steps so it can be optimally adapted to different tonal environments, tunings and ensembles.

To stay in time, the UP-1 features an integrated metronome that, in addition to displaying beats per minute, offers tempo markings in Italian (Adagio, Andante, Allegro etc.). 3 Pedals for Maximum Dynamic Control

Like a grand piano, the UP-1 provides 3 pedals to shape tone and dynamics: the soft pedal (played with the left foot), the sostenuto pedal, and the damper pedal, which lets notes decay. The sostenuto pedal sustains notes that have already been played, while the soft pedal produces a softer sound.

For powerful sound, the UP-1 features a built-in stereo hi-fi speaker system that you can tailor to your needs with the integrated equalizer and six presets.

Above all, the arrangement of the four speakers delivers excellent sound: The two bass speakers are mounted under the keybed. From there they project sound downward, and the sound reflected from the floor creates a very natural room ambience. As a real standout at this price point, the two speakers for the high frequencies are directed straight toward the player. This special arrangement produces an exceptionally nuanced sound with full character. The USB and AUX inputs also make playback of external sound sources a delight.

OLED Display

The easy-to-read OLED display gives you a clear overview in any playing situation and shows the selected sound, metronome tempo, chosen time signature and other useful information.
