Depending on the instrument, different bores, backbores and shank variants are also available.

Trumpet, cornet and flugelhorn

The Exclusive Series in particular includes many graduated cup diameters and cup depths for flugelhorn. JK also offers the USA-Line and Exclusive Export range. The Signature Series includes models developed with Michael Müller for tenor horn and euphonium as well as versions by Harald Kobler for tenor horn and baritone. With these instruments in particular, the correct shank should be considered alongside cup size and depth.

Trombone and bass trombone

For trombone and bass trombone mouthpieces, Exclusive and USA-Line models are available together with different shank sizes. JK also offers screw-rim versions for selected Exclusive mouthpieces. This allows the mouthpiece body and rim to be matched more specifically to personal requirements. Depending on the model, silver-plated and gold-plated versions, plastic rims and Plexiglas variants are also available.

Tuba and sousaphone

For low brass instruments, Josef Klier offers tuba and sousaphone mouthpieces with different cup diameters, depths and bores. For tuba, the range includes Exclusive, Exclusive Classic and USA-Line models. The Signature Series also includes tuba and sousaphone mouthpieces developed together with Peter Laib. When choosing a model, the instrument design, shank size and personal playing feel are important alongside the desired tonal direction.
