Josef Klier - Highest Quality From a Master's Hand!
\r\nThe family business traces its origins to Graslitz in the Sudetenland, the town regarded as the very cradle of musical instrument making. That is where the development of the entire industry began. As early as 1669, 12 master violin makers worked in Graslitz. By the outbreak of World War II there were 300 firms employing a total of 3,000 trained instrument makers.
\r\nThe musician's personal tonal ideals and wishes can only be met with the greatest possible technical precision. For this reason Klier uses computer-controlled CNC lathes to manufacture their JK mouthpieces. Only this production method, thanks to its high positioning accuracy, delivers the serial precision required with tolerances in the micron range (thousandths of a millimeter).
