The Bach Apollo trumpet is a modern interpretation of an original Vincent Bach design. While the Stradivarius is famous for its iconic one-piece, hand-hammered bell, Bach's original Apollo design featured a two-piece bell. The new 170 series of professional instruments uses the same valve cluster and chassis as the world-renowned 180 series. Combined with a two-piece bell made from different materials and finished with the same careful manufacturing methods used on the Stradivarius models, it creates a trumpet that meets the needs of contemporary players across all styles.

The 17043GYR model features a two-piece size-43 bell with a gold-brass throat and a yellow-brass rim. This unique material combination blends the depth and warmth of gold brass with the brilliance and shine of yellow brass. It’s based on a one-piece ML .459" brass valve chassis—the same chassis used in the 180 series—and features a lightweight body with inner and outer slides in brass plus Z-braces in brass. The model has been modernized with a new 6R-style reverse leadpipe, delivering exceptionally fast response and effortless playability.
