The Bach Apollo trumpet is a modern interpretation of an original model by Vincent Bach. While the Stradivarius is known for its iconic, one-piece, hand-hammered trumpet bell, the original Bach Apollo design featured a two-piece bell. The new 170 series of professional instruments uses the same valve block and chassis as the world-famous 180 series. Combined with a two-piece bell made from different materials and manufactured using the same careful production process as the Stradivarius models, it yields a trumpet that suits modern players of all styles.

The 17043GY model features a two-piece #43 bell with a throat of gold brass and a rim of yellow brass. The unique material combination produces a sound that blends the depth and fullness of gold brass with the brilliance and sparkle of yellow brass. It is based on a one-piece ML .459" brass valve chassis, also used in the 180 series, and features a lightweight body with inner and outer brass tubing and brass Z-braces. The model has been modernized with a new reverse leadpipe in 6R style that delivers exceptionally fast response and easy playability.
