The Hummingbird Studio Rosewood continues Gibson's long tradition of crafting world-famous square-shouldered models, including the Hummingbird, Dove and Songwriter. Hand-built in Bozeman, Montana from solid tonewoods, it features a gloss-finished Sitka spruce top with a nitrocellulose lacquer for wide dynamic range, responsive feel and a balanced tone. The rosewood used for the back and sides, finished in satin nitrocellulose, delivers a touch fuller low end and sparkling highs compared to traditional Hummingbird models with mahogany bodies. The full-depth body of the Hummingbird Studio Rosewood produces a rich, deep tone with excellent volume and projection.

The Hummingbird Studio Rosewood is fitted with an Advanced Response neck profile and a satin nitrocellulose lacquer neck that offers smooth, easy playability. The Advanced Response neck sits between some other Gibson profiles—it's neither too thick nor too thin, and for many players it feels "just right." The rosewood fretboard has 20 standard frets and is adorned with the classic mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays that are a visual hallmark of the classic Hummingbird design. The 16-inch fretboard radius makes fast passages easy and efficient, further enhancing the model's excellent playability. You'll keep reaching for this guitar because it's so much fun to play. The headstock is equipped with smooth-turning Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut, providing outstanding tuning stability so you can spend more time playing and less time tuning.
