The Hummingbird Studio Rosewood continues Gibson's long tradition of crafting world-famous square shoulder body designs, like the Hummingbird, Dove, and Songwriter models. The Hummingbird Studio Rosewood is handmade in Bozeman, Montana, from solid tonewoods, including a glossy, nitrocellulose-lacquered Sitka spruce top for wide dynamic range, play responsiveness, and balanced tone.

The satin nitrocellulose finish on the rosewood used for the back and sides delivers slightly richer bass and sparkling highs compared to the traditional Hummingbird models with mahogany bodies. The Hummingbird Studio Rosewood body provides a full, deep sound with excellent volume and projection. It features an Advanced Response neck profile and a satin nitrocellulose-finished Utile neck that ensures smooth and easy playability. The Advanced Response neck profile falls between some of Gibson's other neck profiles—not too thick or thin, but "just right" for many players.

The rosewood fretboard has 20 standard-sized frets and is adorned with classic mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays, one of the visual hallmarks of the classic Hummingbird design. The 16" fretboard radius makes playing fast passages easy and efficient, further enhancing the model's excellent playability. You'll keep reaching for this guitar because playing it is so much fun.

The headstock is equipped with smooth-turning Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut for outstanding tuning stability, so you can spend more time playing and less time tuning.
