For a perfect mix, the Auto-Mixer function can automatically set levels to optimal values and assign microphone priority.
Thanks to the 12.7 cm color touchscreen, you can intuitively navigate the well-structured menu and make desired adjustments with just a few taps.
A Complete Workstation with All the Functions You Need
From audio recording to mixing previously recorded material, the Mixcast 4 offers a full production environment with many practical features like 14-track recording to SD card, Bluetooth audio input, and an aux input for easy mixing and recording of phone calls (with mix-minus) or other sound sources. You can also mix in audio from a computer via a simple USB connection.
Or simply use Mixcast 4 as a USB audio interface with your preferred DAW software.
Spice Up Content with Real-Time Sound Effects
The Mixcast 4 includes eight banks of fully customizable, illuminated sound pads that let you trigger sound events during a podcast or live broadcast. Besides preset sound effects, you can flexibly assign new sounds, music, or even recordings you made beforehand with the device’s microphone.
The Mixcast 4 sound pads also enable simple and precise voice effects like pitch shifting, reverb, and others, making live streams and recordings more engaging and entertaining.
Tascam Podcast Editor for Post-Production and Control
With the handy and easy-to-use Tascam Podcast Editor, you can edit audio content, arm tracks, and assign and configure sound effects and background music to the sound pads.
No expert DAW knowledge is required, as the podcast editor’s intuitive graphics allow any user to easily record audio with the Mixcast 4. The Tascam Podcast Editor was specially developed for Mixcast 4 and is available for both computers and mobile devices.
Condenser Microphone for Studio Recordings
The new Pronomic CM-22 is a professional large-diaphragm microphone ideally suited for demanding studio applications. The FET technology (field-effect transistor) used provides high-quality signal transmission on a fully analog basis, delivers a silky warm sound, and is the first choice in the studio for recording vocals and acoustic instruments such as guitar, strings, or drums. The gold-coated 1.25" diaphragm and FET preamp ensure a balanced, wide frequency range with low self-noise, and the cardioid polar pattern stable across the entire frequency range makes the CM-22 a true all-rounder for numerous applications. The CM-22 comes with a high-quality microphone shock mount (5/8" thread) and a carrying case.
Comfortable Stereo Headphones
The KH-238 delivers a full, balanced sound with rich bass reproduction and clear highs. It offers plenty of volume yet precise and clear stereo imaging. The softly padded, wide headband is length-adjustable with 12 steps per side for optimal fit. For extra comfort, the ear cups are mounted on two axes for rotation. The thick, soft padding of the circumaural ear cups also provides good external noise isolation. The integrated volume control on the cable is always within reach, simplifying use with PCs or mp3 players. The 3.5 mm stereo jack plug ensures excellent transmission quality, and a 6.3 mm stereo adapter is also included.
Microphone Arm
Made entirely of metal, the McGrey microphone arm offers stable handling at a reasonable price. The arm fits into the robust table clamp and can be secured against twisting. The foam rubber insert in the clamp protects the table surface from unsightly scratches. Four springs reliably hold your microphone in place while allowing individual adjustments. This ensures consistent voice quality and full flexibility in microphone positioning. The 3/8" thread fits all common microphone clips and shock mounts; a reducing thread and a mic clip are included for immediate use.
XLR Cable
Stage Pro-Line cables use only oxygen-free copper, ensuring durable, consistent quality and corrosion protection. The connectors are hand-soldered and feature strain relief with clamping sleeves, so solder joints are free from mechanical stress. A high-density copper shield effectively protects the audio signal from impact noise and electromagnetic interference, such as from power supplies and power cables. This guarantees low conductor capacitance and crystal-clear audio transmission.
Together with the Tascam Podcast Editor software, you get a complete package including waveform editing and multitrack recording for all steps from pre-production to finalization!
