Everything You Need to Get Started Playing Guitar!
Ideal for beginners and advancing guitarists! Whether for music lessons, band practice, live on stage or around the campfire, this guitar will bring you joy everywhere. Here you get an excellent guitar for a bargain price. See for yourself!
The Classic Cantabile AS-851 - The Perfect Beginner's Or Second Instrument
The Classic Cantabile AS-851 is excellently suited for guitar beginners. With a scale length of 65 cm the instrument is perfectly sized for children and teenagers from around 14 years old. Naturally, adult beginners also benefit from the easy playability of the AS-851.
Selected Materials - Clean Craftsmanship
Only carefully selected materials are used for AS-851 guitars. The laminated top and body produce a beautiful, warm tone and the neatly crafted bridge transfers the string vibrations down to the smallest detail even with a delicate touch. The smooth tuners also ensure optimal tuning stability.
A Tone That Speaks For Itself!
Especially for beginners it's important that learning is fun. A guitar must not only be functional to ensure optimal learning progress, the sound must not be neglected either. The AS-851 models provide plenty of fun with their expressive tone and also allow a good assessment of your own playing.
Classic Look
The AS-851 stands out visually with its light natural top and dark-tinted body. The elaborately crafted rosette, the beautiful ornate tuners and the understated headstock complete the overall appearance.
Which Guitar Size Is Right?
The scale length indicates the size of a guitar—or more precisely the length of the vibrating string between nut and saddle. The standard scale length is 650 mm and corresponds to a 4/4 guitar. All other sizes are therefore smaller and are recommended accordingly for children and teenagers.
Our Recommendations for Scale Length Based on Age and Height:
| 1/4 Size | Age 4 to 7 years | Height up to 110 cm | Scale length approx. 47-49 cm |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/2 Size | Age 5 to 9 years | Height 110 to 130 cm | Scale length approx. 53-58 cm |
| 3/4 Size | Age 8 to 11 years | Height 120 to 140 cm | Scale length approx. 59-62 cm |
| 7/8 Size | Age 10 to 13 years | Height 130 to 150 cm | Scale length approx. 62-63 cm |
| 4/4 Size | Age from approx. 14 years | Height from approx. 150 cm | Scale length approx. 63-65 cm |
Here you'll get an excellent guitar starter set with everything you need at a bargain price!

All in all: highly recommended 😃
Questions about product
Question by Jacqueline on 13.09.2023
Good morning,
I just wanted to ask if the guitar front is glossy or matte?
Thank you in advance.
Many greetings
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
The guitar is completely finished in high gloss.
Question by Alda SCHER on 10.12.2021
Hello!
My daughter wants a guitar. She is 10 years and already 1.50 cm! What size guitar would fit her? Somewhere I read that this guitar is of size 4/4 for adults!
She can't play yet, but wants to learn. She always watches videos on the internet!
With kind regards
Alda Scher
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
If your daughter is 1.50 m tall, she can already play on an adult guitar (standard 4/4 size). This model is very suitable for beginners.
Question by Martina on 18.01.2021
Hello dear ones!
Are the strings made of plastic? And what size guitar would you recommend me if I am an adult but have short fingers? Do you also deliver to Austria at the moment?
Thanks in advance for your answers
Best regards, Martina
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
The guitar has 6 nylon strings, 3 of which are wire wound. For short fingers we recommend "Small Neck"models, these have a narrower neck and are therefore much lighter and easier to grip. Here is an example: https://www.kirstein.de/Konzertgitarren-fuer-Erwachsene/Ortega-R121SN.html
Question by Ivelina Tsoneva-Mitkovska on 03.06.2020
Is this guitar for adults?
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
Yes, this guitar set is designed for adult players.
Question by AinhoaZurbano Macías on 04.05.2020
Hi!
Does the guitar come with the strings attached? Or you need to put the strings with the strings that come.
Thank you!
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
The guitar comes with the strings already attached.
Question by Angelo on 22.04.2020
Hi, is the CD and book in Italian or French?
Thank you
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
The booklet and CD are in German.
Question by Johannes on 09.03.2019
Good day,
the body looks symmetrical. Is the guitar also for left-handers? Stringing and tuning would not be a problem.
Thanks for the answer.
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
There is a left-handed variant: https://www.kirstein.de/Gitarrensets-fuer-Erwachsene/Classic-Cantabile-AS-851-L-Konzertgitarre-4-4-Starter-Set-fuer-Linkshaender.html
Question by Alicis on 13.11.2018
Hi, does this guitar have nylon strings? Thanks for the answer.
Many greetings
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
Ja.
Question by Nicole Schierenberg on 01.11.2018
Dear Sir or Madam, our daughter will be 8 at the beginning of December and wants so much a guitar. Does this set also exist for 8 year olds? And if so, what size would one take? Do you go more by age or size?
With kind regards
Nicole Schiereberg
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
When choosing a guitar size, you go by the child's height. For your daughter I would recommend a 3/4 size, a 4/4 size is probably too big. Here you can find the same set with a smaller guitar: https://www.kirstein.de/Gitarrensets-fuer-Kinder/Classic-Cantabile-Acoustic-Series-AS-851-3-4-Konzertgitarre-Starterset.html
Question by Hussey Alexander on 13.07.2018
Dear Sir or Madam,
is this guitar already completely ready to play or do I have to string the guitar sides myself? I am a complete novice in this field, so my question should the sides are not strung, could you string them for me?
Thank you in advance.
With kind regards
Hussey Alexander
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
The AS-851 is already ready to play. It only needs to be tuned, as the strings have not yet been brought to high tension for safe shipping. For newcomers I recommend to use a tuner for tuning: https://www.kirstein.de/Stimmgeraete-Gitarre-Bass/
