Everything You Need to Get Started Playing Guitar!
Ideal for beginners and advancing guitarists! Whether for lessons, band rehearsals, live on stage or around the campfire, this guitar will bring you joy everywhere. Here you get an excellent guitar at a killer price. See for yourself!
The Classic Cantabile AS-851 - The Perfect Beginner's Or Second Instrument
The Classic Cantabile AS-851 is ideal for guitar beginners. With a scale length of 59 cm the instrument is perfectly suited for children and teenagers aged approximately 5–9 years. Of course, adult beginners also benefit from the easy playability of the AS-851.
Selected Materials - Precise Workmanship
Only carefully selected materials are used for AS-851 guitars. The laminated top and body produce a beautiful, warm tone, and the neatly crafted bridge transfers the string vibration down to the smallest detail even with a delicate finger touch. The smooth-turning tuning machines also ensure excellent tuning stability.
A Sound That Stands Out!
It's important that learning is fun, especially for beginners. A guitar must not only be functional to guarantee optimal learning progress, but the sound must also be convincing. The AS-851 models deliver an expressive tone that provides plenty of enjoyment and lets you accurately judge your own playing.
Classic Appearance
The AS-851 catches the eye with its light natural top and darker tinted body. The elaborately crafted rosette, the attractive decorated tuning machines and the understated headstock round off the overall look.
Which Guitar Size Is Right?
The scale length indicates a guitar's size — more precisely the vibrating string length between the nut and the bridge. The standard scale is 650 mm and corresponds to a 4/4 guitar. All other sizes are therefore smaller and recommended accordingly for children and teenagers.
Our Recommendations for the Scale Length That Fits Age and Body Size:
| 1/4 Size | Age 4 to 7 years | Height up to 110 cm | Scale approx. 47–49 cm |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/2 Size | Age 5 to 9 years | Height 110 to 130 cm | Scale approx. 53–58 cm |
| 3/4 Size | Age 8 to 11 years | Height 120 to 140 cm | Scale approx. 59–62 cm |
| 7/8 Size | Age 10 to 13 years | Height 130 to 150 cm | Scale approx. 62–63 cm |
| 4/4 Size | Age from approx. 14 years | Height from approx. 150 cm | Scale approx. 63–65 cm |

Questions about product
Question by Mina on 16.02.2021
Hello my daughter is 6 years and we have our first guitar lesson soon would this size fit or which would you recommend us?
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
For a 6-year-old, this size is perfect. If your daughter is rather small for her age, then I recommend a 1/4 guitar; if she is rather large for her age, you could also think about a 3/4 guitar.
Question by Beate Hindenburg on 16.12.2019
Hello, I received the order today. Now I have a question, there is no Kurt to hang around, I know that only so that you can hang the guitar around.
For a beginner, it is good to hang the guitar even times with strap around.
I would be very happy about an answer from you. If the strap is missing I would be very, very grateful if you would send it to me.
With kind regards
Beate Hindenburg
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
Since children's guitars do not focus on playing while standing - as is sometimes the case with adults - no strap is included. If you still want to purchase a strap, I recommend this one, which can be attached to the sound hole without strap pins: https://www.kirstein.de/Gitarrengurte/Kirstein-Schallloch-Trageband-fuer-Klassikgitarre.html
