The Classic Cantabile AS-851 - The Perfect Beginner's Or Backup Instrument
The Classic Cantabile AS-851 is ideally suited for guitar beginners. With a scale length of 62.5 cm, the instrument is perfect for children and teenagers roughly 10–13 years old. Of course, adult beginners also benefit from the AS-851's easy playability.
Selected Materials - Neat Craftsmanship
Only carefully selected materials are used for the AS-851 guitars. The laminated top and body produce a beautiful, warm tone, and the neatly crafted bridge transmits the strings' vibration down to the smallest detail—even with a delicate touch. The smooth-turning tuning machines also provide excellent tuning stability.
A Tone That Speaks For Itself!
Especially for beginners, it's important that learning is fun. A guitar must not only be functional to ensure optimal progress, but its sound must not be neglected either. The AS-851 models deliver an expressive tone that makes practicing enjoyable and helps you accurately judge your playing.
Classic Look
The AS-851 stands out visually with its light natural top and darker-stained body. The elaborately crafted rosette, the beautiful decorative tuning machines, and the understated headstock complete the overall look.
Which Guitar Size Is Right?
The scale length indicates a guitar's size—or more precisely, the length of the vibrating string between nut and bridge. The standard scale length is 650 mm and corresponds to a full-size (4/4) guitar. All other sizes are therefore smaller and are recommended for children and teenagers accordingly.
Our Recommendations For Scale Length Based On Age And Body Size:
| 1/4 Size | Age 4 to 7 years | Height up to 110 cm | Scale approx. 47-49 cm |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/2 Size | Age 5 to 9 years | Height 110 to 130 cm | Scale approx. 53-55 cm |
| 3/4 Size | Age 8 to 11 years | Height 120 to 140 cm | Scale approx. 59-62 cm |
| 7/8 Size | Age 10 to 13 years | Height 130 to 150 cm | Scale approx. 62-63 cm |
| 4/4 Size | Age from approx. 14 years | Height from approx. 150 cm | Scale approx. 63-65 cm |
