The Katana Artist Head Gen 3 supports up to two guitar cabinets to meet all demands. The carefully crafted and dual Waza-speaker-equipped rugged Katana Cabinet 212 Waza is perfectly matched to unleash the full potential of the head. These specially made Boss speakers deliver the authentic character and response of the famous British 25-watt stack speaker from the ’60s with modern durability. The cabinets can be expanded into a 4x12 setup, and the versatile design offers a removable panel for closed or open sound.

Refined Tube Logic Sounds

Tube Logic models tube circuits with all their complex component-level interactions. This approach evolves and refines the five amplifier characters available in earlier Katana models, including the iconic high-gain Brown type. The new Pushed character highlights internal dynamic improvements with the pick-dynamic gain of a driven clean combo. All six amp characters also include a variation for 12 distinctive sounds. The Bloom switch activates a special circuit that creates a completely different amp feel. The sound comes alive with a sharper attack and dynamic low end, two qualities rarely achieved simultaneously.

The built-in Power Control on the Katana Gen 3 offers the best of both worlds, letting you control the amp’s volume without compromising sound. Simply turn the knob on the control panel to dial in the level for everything from live stage playing to daily bedroom jamming.

The Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, and Reverb sections offer improved sound quality and access to 15 unique effects. There’s also a dedicated solo section with level boost and delay effect. Boss Tone Studio opens up additional possibilities by letting you customize the built-in effects from 60 different types and access deep options not available on the amp’s control panel. And when the optional Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adapter is installed, you can wirelessly edit sounds during gigs with the BTS Editor app on your smartphone.

Eight tone setting memories let you save and recall complete amp/effect setups, while the rear jacks support remote control with footswitches, an expression pedal, and MIDI. The GA-FC and GA-FC EX foot controllers expand your options even further, offering full stage control solutions for your Katana Gen 3. Switch tone settings, toggle effects on/off, integrate multiple expression pedals, and more. The GA-FC EX model also includes an expansion option to double your footswitches or control two Katana amps simultaneously.
