Via the Midi standard port you can also control other sets via laptop or record your own drum parts. Since the module has no sample memory for external samples, loading your own sounds is not possible. However, with the DD-400 you can trigger the sounds of your DAW via a MIDI connection. The easiest and most common variant for home use is the connection via USB cable, because you don't need a separate driver or interface. To do this, plug one end into the drum module and the other end into a USB input on your laptop/PC. After establishing the cable connection, the e-drum is MIDI-enabled and you can play tones and settings with the drum kit in any MIDI software. Of course you still have to assign in the software which is the MIDI input device, in this case the drum kit.
