Also, the module offers 40 patterns to play along, and an LED display, to track its settings.

A small, but very important feature: the headphone jack! Of course it's integrated in the DD-400, thus it can be playes via headphones, as well as speakers (both optional).

Since the module has no sample memory for external samples, loading your own sounds is not possible. However, with the DD-400 you can trigger the sounds of your DAW via a MIDI connection. The easiest and most common variant for home use is the connection via USB cable, because you don't need a separate driver or interface. To do this, plug one end into the drum module and the other end into a USB input on your laptop/PC. After establishing the cable connection, the e-drum is MIDI-enabled and you can play tones and settings with the drum kit in any MIDI software. Of course you still have to assign in the software which is the MIDI input device, in this case the drum kit.
