The composite keys consist of a wood core with a shell of very durable plastic. This construction not only ensures maintenance-free performance, but together with the textured Ivory-Touch surface also delivers an incredibly premium feel. The USB-to-Host output is used to connect the UP-1Plus to computers, tablets and laptops. Via the common app stores you can pair the UP-1Plus with popular piano apps such as Flowkey, Skoove or SimplyPiano. Beginners in particular benefit from the learning features, and a wide range of recording apps is also available. The UP-1Plus is compatible with Android apps and also connects comfortably to iPad and iPhone.

Layer and Split Functions

Twinova Function

The Twinova function was designed for teachers and students: it splits the keyboard and pedals into two halves, creating two independent keyboards ideal for demanding lessons or home practice sessions. Extensive Connectivity with USB MP3 Player & Recorder

Another revolution is the extensive connectivity and the built-in MP3 recorder. The 6.3 mm jack microphone/AUX input makes the piano attractive for entertainers. With the integrated USB MP3 recorder, you can record directly to a USB stick. The trick: all signals (vocals, key strikes and any external audio sources) are saved into one stereo MP3 file. If the integrated hi-fi speakers don’t meet your expectations, the stereo AUX output allows connection to a PA or active speakers.

Transpose Function

The transpose function allows you to shift the instrument in semitone steps, so it can be optimally adapted to other tuning systems, ensembles and musical contexts.

Metronome and Headphone Jacks

To stay in time the UP-1Plus includes an integrated metronome that shows the beats per minute and Italian tempo markings (Adagio, Andante, Allegro, etc.). The tempo is adjustable continuously via a rotary control. Two headphone jacks make quiet playing easy in the evening or at night when you don’t want to disturb others.

3 Pedals for Maximum Expression

Like a grand piano, the UP-1Plus offers 3 pedals to shape tone and dynamics: the soft pedal (left), the sostenuto pedal, and the damper pedal, which lets notes decay naturally. The sostenuto pedal sustains already-played notes, while the soft pedal produces a gentler tone.

Hi-Fi Speaker System with Preset EQ

For powerful sound the UP-1Plus features a built-in stereo hi-fi speaker system that can be tailored to your needs via a 6-preset equalizer.

The arrangement of the four speakers in particular delivers excellent sound: The two bass speakers are mounted underneath the playing surface and project sound downward, using floor reflection to produce a natural room sound. As a real highlight for this price range, the two tweeters are angled directly toward the pianist, resulting in a very nuanced sound with full character. USB and AUX inputs also make playback from external sources a pleasure.

OLED Display

The easy-to-read OLED display provides the best overview in every playing situation and shows the selected voice, metronome tempo, time signature and other useful information.
