Weighted Hammer Keybed with Real Wood Core, Point-of-Pressure Simulation and Synthetic Ivory Surface

The composite keys have a wood core with a very durable plastic outer shell. This combination not only ensures maintenance-free performance but, together with the textured Ivory-Touch surface, delivers an incredibly refined feel. The key weighting is achieved by differently weighted hammers and, together with the point-of-pressure simulation and triple-sensor detection, very authentically simulates the touch of an acoustic piano. Beginners benefit especially from the learning possibilities, and there is also a wide selection of recording apps. The UP-1Plus is compatible with Android apps and connects comfortably to iPad and iPhone as well.

Layer and Split Functions

The Layer and Split functions let you comfortably stack two sounds or combine them. You can create impressive sonic textures. The Split function divides the keyboard so you can, for example, assign strings to the left hand and piano to the right. The volume of each side can be adjusted independently.

Twinova Function

Designed for teachers and students, the Twinova function splits the keyboard and pedals into two halves, creating two independent keybeds ideal for demanding lessons or home practice sessions. The pedals can also be assigned separately to left and right. This lets you play as if on two separate pianos using a single instrument!

Extensive Connectivity with USB MP3 Player & Recorder

One of the UP-1's revolutions is its wide connectivity and built-in MP3 recorder. The 6.3 mm jack microphone/AUX input makes the piano attractive for entertainers. With the integrated USB MP3 recorder you can record directly to a USB stick. The trick: all signals (vocals, keys and any external audio sources) are stored in a single stereo MP3 file. If the integrated Hi-Fi speakers don't meet your needs, the stereo AUX output lets you connect to a PA system or active speakers.

Transpose Function

The transpose functions let you shift the instrument in semitone steps so it can be adapted to different tuning environments, keys and ensembles.

Metronome and Headphone Jacks

To keep time the UP-1Plus includes an integrated metronome that shows beats per minute and tempo markings (Adagio, Andante, Allegro, etc.). Tempo is adjustable smoothly via a rotary control. Two headphone jacks allow quiet practice in the evenings or at night when you don't want to disturb others.

3 Pedals for Maximum Expression

Like a grand, the UP-1Plus provides three pedals that shape tone and dynamics: the soft pedal (left), the sostenuto pedal and the damper pedal, which lets tones decay. The sostenuto pedal sustains already played notes longer, while the soft pedal produces a gentler tone.

Hi-Fi Speaker System with Preset EQ

For powerful sound the UP-1Plus features a built-in stereo Hi-Fi speaker system with an integrated equalizer offering 6 presets to tailor the sound to your needs.

The arrangement of the four speakers delivers excellent sound: Two bass speakers are mounted on the underside of the keybed and project sound downwards so the floor reflection creates a natural room ambiance. As a real highlight in this price range, the two high-frequency speakers are aimed directly toward the pianist. This special arrangement produces a highly nuanced, full-character sound. USB and AUX inputs make playback of external sources equally enjoyable.

OLED Display

The easy-to-read OLED display provides excellent overview in every playing situation and shows the selected voice, metronome tempo, time signature and other useful information.
