The S1 from Classic Cantabile delivers a clear design and enormous richness of tone in a very compact package. The slimline piano is the ideal beginner instrument for families who value a slim, elegant appearance and a feature set perfectly tailored to newcomers.

Weighted Hammer-Action Keyboard With Adjustable Touch Sensitivity

The DP-S1's weighted keyboard with authentic hammer action recreates the playing feel of an acoustic piano with traditional mechanics as faithfully as possible. The 88 keys offer a certain, "natural" resistance when pressed, just like on classic acoustic pianos. The keyboard is also velocity-sensitive, meaning notes sound at different volumes depending on how hard you press a key. Thanks to the various settings ("Touch Response" = touch sensitivity), you can, for example, produce a comparatively loud sound even with a gentle touch (setting "Soft"). This feature is often especially helpful for the youngest piano beginners. To keep the keyboard reliably protected from dust, the DP-S1 is equipped with a key cover.

64-Note Polyphony

With 64-note polyphony the digital piano can reproduce up to 64 notes simultaneously. Thanks to this pool of available tones, the player can use voices from different musical styles—from classical to rock—at any time, even in stereo.

10 Different Sounds

The compact but refined selection of 10 high-quality sounds lets you emphasize melodies in different ways and create a wide range of moods. Pianists can look forward to plenty of room for experimentation. From piano and organ to string sounds, the digital piano offers a selection of classic voices.

The "Layer" And "Split" Functions

With the "Layer" function you can stack two voices—for example strings and piano—on top of each other to combine them. This instantly creates a particularly impressive, full sound. "Split", on the other hand, divides your keyboard into two separate zones. You can assign each zone individually with different voices and, for example, play strings with the left hand and piano with the right.

Twinova Function

The Twinova function was created for teachers and students and allows the keyboard and pedals to be split into two halves. That creates two independent keyboards that are ideal for demanding piano lessons or practice sessions at home. You can even assign the pedals separately to the left and right—so you can play as if you had two separate pianos on a single instrument!

Metronome And Headphone Jacks

To help you keep the right beat and tempo while practicing, the DP-S1 includes a built-in metronome. You can adjust both the tempo and the metronome volume as you wish. The DP-S1 also features two headphone jacks, allowing you to practice and play without disturbing, for example, your neighbors. Thanks to the second headphone jack, someone can listen to your playing in "silent" mode as well.

The "Soft", "Sostenuto" And "Sustain" Pedals

Like an acoustic grand, the DP-S1 offers three pedals that let you shape the sound of the pieces you play in a very targeted way. The soft pedal is on the left and is operated with the left foot, as is the central sostenuto pedal. The sustain pedal on the right is usually used most often: it lets notes ring, while the middle sostenuto pedal sustains only notes that have already been played. The left soft pedal reduces the volume of struck notes and produces a softer tone.
