The S1 from Classic Cantabile combines a clean, intuitive design with surprisingly big sound in a very compact package. This slimline piano is the perfect beginner instrument for families who want a sleek, elegant look and features perfectly tailored to new players.

Weighted Hammer-Action Keyboard With Adjustable Touch Response

The DP-S1's weighted keyboard with real hammer action recreates the feel of an acoustic piano with traditional mechanics as authentically as possible. The 88 keys offer a certain, "natural" resistance when pressed, just like on classic acoustic pianos. The keyboard also responds to touch dynamics—notes sound louder or softer depending on how hard you press a key. With the different adjustment options ("Touch Response" = touch sensitivity) you can, for example, produce a comparatively loud sound even with a gentle touch (setting "Soft"). This function is often especially helpful for the youngest piano beginners. To keep the keyboard reliably protected from dust, the DP-S1 includes a key cover.

64-Note Polyphony

With 64-note polyphony the piano can produce up to 64 notes simultaneously. Thanks to this range of available tones, players can apply voices from classical to rock—even in stereo—whenever they like.

10 Distinct Sounds

The compact but refined selection of 10 high-quality sounds lets you emphasize melodies in different ways and create a wide range of moods. Players get plenty of room to experiment. From piano and organ to string sounds, the digital piano offers a selection of classic voices.

The "Layer" And "Split" Functions

With the "Layer" function you can stack two voices—for example strings and piano—so they play together and create an impressively full sound. "Split" divides your keyboard into two separate zones. You can assign each zone individually with different voices, so, for example, you can have strings on the left and piano on the right.

Twinova Function

The Twinova function was developed for teachers and students, allowing you to split the keyboard and pedals into two halves. This creates two independent keyboards—ideal for demanding piano lessons or practice sessions at home. The pedals can also be assigned separately left and right, so you can effectively play on two separate pianos with just one instrument!

Metronome And Headphone Jacks

To help you keep time and tempo while practicing, the DP-S1 includes an integrated metronome. You can adjust both the tempo and the metronome volume as desired. The DP-S1 also has two headphone jacks, so you can practice and play without disturbing, for example, the neighbors. With the second headphone jack, someone can listen in silently while you play.

The "Soft", "Sostenuto" And "Sustain" Pedals

Like an acoustic grand, the DP-S1 offers three pedals that let you shape the sound of the pieces you play. The Soft pedal is on the left and—like the middle Sostenuto pedal—is played with the left foot. The Sustain pedal on the right is used most often; it lets notes ring out. The middle Sostenuto pedal sustains only notes that were already held down. The left Soft pedal reduces the volume of struck notes and produces a softer tone.
