Weighted Hammer Keyboard With Adjustable Touch Response

The DP-210’s weighted keyboard with real hammer action simulates the feel of an acoustic piano with traditional mechanics as authentically as possible. The 88 keys offer a certain, 'natural' resistance when pressed, just like classic acoustic pianos. The keyboard is also velocity-sensitive, meaning the notes sound louder or softer depending on how hard you press a key. With the different settings ('Touch Response' = touch sensitivity) you can, for example, produce a relatively loud sound even with a gentle touch (setting 'Soft'). This function is often especially helpful for the youngest beginner pianists. To protect the keyboard reliably from dust, the DP-210 comes with a keyboard cover.

128-Note Polyphony

Thanks to 128-note polyphony, the piano can play back up to 128 notes simultaneously. With this palette of available notes, the player can use voices from various musical styles—from classical to rock—at any time, even in stereo.

The 'Dual Mode' (Layer) And 'Split Mode' Functions

With the 'Layer' function you can stack two voices—like strings and piano—on top of each other to create a particularly impressive, full sound. 'Split' divides your keyboard into two separate zones. You can assign each zone different voices and define their split points, so, for example, you can play strings with your left hand and piano with your right. Volume for the different sounds can be set separately in both 'Layer' and 'Split' modes.

Metronome And Headphone Jacks

To help you keep the right beat and tempo while practising, the DP-210 has an integrated metronome. Both tempo and volume of the metronome can be adjusted as you wish. The DP-210 also features two headphone jacks so you can practise and play at any time without disturbing, for example, your neighbor. The second headphone jack even allows another person to listen in while you play 'silently'.

The 'Soft', 'Sostenuto' And 'Sustain' Pedals

The DP-210 offers three pedals like an acoustic grand piano, which let you shape the sound of the pieces you play. The soft pedal is on the left and—like the sostenuto pedal in the middle—is played with the left foot. The sustain pedal on the right is usually used most often: it lets notes ring out. The middle sostenuto pedal sustains only already played notes. The left soft pedal reduces the volume of struck notes and produces a softer tonal character.
