Below is the description of the item as new:
Handcrafted handpan incl. padded case!
The handpan is the perfect combination of a percussion and melody instrument. It consists of two thin, joined stainless steel shells. During the manufacturing process, the halves are carefully hammered by hand, creating indentations and a small dome in the center of the body. These surfaces form the different tone fields. Surrounded by a circle of 8 notes, the central note sits in the middle of the handpan. Striking the fields produces bright, sustained tones.
The high-quality material, rust- and corrosion-resistant stainless steel, gives the handpan its shine. This versatile material offers many other benefits. Weather and time cannot affect the handpan's elegant, futuristic design. Stainless steel resists water, humidity and weak acids, so the handpan can be taken anywhere. It can also be played outdoors without damage. The stainless steel surface allows musicians to use the instrument for years without signs of wear.
The Sela Majesty Handpan is professionally and perfectly tuned. It stands out for its outstanding quality and sound. The handpan has optimal resonance across all notes. Playing it produces no unwanted metallic sounds. The tones are bright and sustained, with the stainless steel further enhancing their resonance.
The instrument's uniquely soft, ethereal and mysterious tones quickly capture the full attention of listeners. Its soothing sound takes them on a spiritual journey. The fascinating timbre of the Sela Journey Handpan makes it ideal as musical accompaniment for spiritual activities such as yoga or meditation. The notes respond to a light touch, making even the smallest nuances audible. The result is an expressive, detailed performance.
The Sela Majesty Handpan is ideal for beginners and professional musicians alike. Despite its intuitive, easy playing technique, it can produce fascinating sound patterns. Its soundscape ranges from simple to complex, offering players endless possibilities: intricate rhythms, virtuosic melodies, captivating chords and two-part melodies can all be combined in a variety of ways.
A high-quality padded case is included. Its generous padding provides optimal protection during transport. The tear-resistant nylon case can be easily carried by hand using its two handles or comfortably worn as a backpack with its adjustable shoulder straps. Small accessories, such as a metronome, can be stored in the practical exterior pocket.
