Customer ratings for Pronomic XA-800 amplifier, 2x 1900 Watt

This power amplifier scores through its good workmanship and through its performance even at the limit operated for subwoofer operation it is indeed warm but makes no problems pulls through fully.
I have now bought the second of this series and use it mainly for tops but run with 12 ohms at 500 watts RMS and was very surprised how clearly yet this stage reproduces the sound has really convinced me.

It does what it promises. The Pronomic XA-800 should serve as a replacement. It was connected to test. Since then it has become the main device.

After buying an XA-1400 I was convinced of the quality and performance of these power amplifier types. The "little brother" XA-800 can score with the same features. For example, the overall workmanship is clean, logical and valuable. The sound is decent and does not distort even at high volumes. For larger tops as well as for two to three 15" per channel this power amplifier can be used without hesitation. I don't like to run power amps with loads below 4 ohms impedance, but here I would have peace of mind. Ventilation and protection circuits are well designed so full confidence in reliability is given. For sure this is one of the most powerful 2U power amps with toroidal transformer on the market. The 3 year warranty and the service from Musikhaus Kirstein have once again reinforced the decision to buy.
Finally, as with the XA-1400, I have to mention the small flaws:
The power connection is via a cable withels very simple strain relief / cable grommet in the housing. Here I expect a more contemporary solution such as a Powercon connection. One thing I can not understand at all, are the different colors of the power LED between XA-1400 and XA-800. It may be only a minor optical disruptive factor, but why is not uniform within a series?

Conclusion: highly recommended for power hungry!

Use several of the XA-800 in the rental for tops and kickfiller. Price and performance excellent. Use them at 4 ohms and alternatively at 2.6 ohm loads. Apart from the weight, I know of no power amp that delivers such quality and reserves for the price.
In the bass exclusively the XA-1400.

Top power amp that also has regulated fans and is little audible.
The power is enough for 3 agate 115Sub so 3 15" per side and the makes no mucken. My amplifier also has no loose contact.
I would prefer any Tamp TA series!!!

In my case, the power amp is connected to 2 18 inch Cerwin-vega horns per channel - so 4 ohms per channel. What can I say - it does what it should. Even with hours of full throttle close to the limiter, the thing is not hot or switches off.
For my 4 RCF equipped 18 inch bass reflex speakers I have the Pronomic XA-1400 - the big sister of the XA-800. This one has a lot more power. On New Year's Eve it sent 2 of the 4 18 inch Eminence speakers into nirvana. The cardboards are torn - my fault - I set the lowcut too low.
The XA-1400 is also a rock solid power amp with nothing to complain about. Power and strength in abundance - especially in the bass.
I couldn't find any loose contacts on the gain controls - they are embedded in the housing and are therefore protected from unintentional adjustment. They also do what they are supposed to do.
Both amplifiers are definitely worth buying. Are just iron pigs - heavy but power without end.

... the gain controllers have a stupid wobble. that should not really be with such a product.
