Nice instrument in relation to the price. The locking mechanism of the fourth valve could have been a little more stable, especially when inserting and removing it from the bag supplied.

For this price, the instrument is incredibly good. The weight is very comfortable and you don't get cold fingers in winter. The valves are louder than normal. The tone and tuning are amazingly good. I think the instrument is very suitable for young beginners.

I ordered the plastic euphonium because I wanted to play a lower instrument as well as the trumpet. The instrument was delivered cleanly oiled and with greased slides, ready to play immediately. Great service from Kirstein.
Today I let my euphonium-playing colleagues try out the instrument. They liked the instrument and thought it was great for the price. I'm still practicing myself. But as the instrument responds well, I was able to play some simple pieces in today's rehearsal. I should also mention that a metal mouthpiece is VERY recommendable. Kirstein will be happy to advise you.

When the euphonium was delivered, I immediately tried it out with curiosity and was initially shocked by the strange sound. It was only when I unlocked the 4th valve on the side that the sound was right. I am very satisfied with the response, the workmanship and the weight.
As I have played in a trombone choir for over 40 years and took my expensive brass horn with me in all weathers, I am now very pleased with this good alternative for outdoor events.
The only pity is the white mouthpiece on the black euphonium, I would have been happier with a black mouthpiece as shown in the description.

Good instrument with an amazingly good sound. Of course, it has limitations in the bass and treble ranges. Super playable in the normal registers and the notes are just right.

My Wilson Euph. costs 30 times as much and is much too bad for carnival, etc.. For this the
"plastic part" absolutely. Very good price-performance ratio.

I had ordered this instrument in blue but the delivery time was too long. Customer service was very responsive and was able to meet my needs.
The instrument is exactly as described. The case is very high quality and the instrument sounds just right.
The lightness of the instrument allows a new freedom.

Everything as it is to read in the description. Light, good response and also the intonation fits quite well. Sound is also quite good for a plastic instrument, of course, does not come to the sonority of a brass instrument. All in all, a very good price - performance ratio.

For my youngest, 6 years, I was looking for a handy and especially light and yet high-quality euphonium and ordered this one. His teacher was skeptical at first, because of the good reviews I wanted to risk it anyway and ordered times, maybe for the beginning at least, because the metal one is still too heavy for him and immediately banged on his head when trying, although he held it in a sitting position. The teacher at the music school tested it extensively and was very enthusiastic, he said it was enough for the first years, even longer.
Apart from the functionality, I like the sturdy case with wheels and straps, it looks very valuable. The only drawback: in the mouthpiece plug hole provided in the case you can not put the supplied plastic mouthpiece, because then the case would no longer close. But there is still space next to it. The mouthpiece also has a large shank, if that is relevant to anyone for other mouthpieces (I could not find in the description), which is why on the music school instrument with a small shank the mouthpiece does not fit and we always have to lug the whole device with us, in the new school year we will buy two matching identical mouthpieces to remedy this.
You have to watch out for the closing of the 4th slide before you put it in the case, 1x forgotten and already broken (could you maybe dismantle it yourself in the meantime with children??? Now in any case too late), a replacement valve I have just requested and hope that there is one to it, currently the 4th valve is permanently open.
Conclusion: I would buy it again at any time!

Ultralight, good response, good mood, you get used to it quickly. Valves are somewhat noisy, thread on upper valve caps stiff, trains (especially on the 1st valve) tight, but tend to fall out. When marching tape helps to secure.

Well, but already sounds like plastic with the mouthpiece. Then I took a C-12 and it was better. For the carnival optimal. What is missing is a holder for the music fork and shoulder strap. For the price OK

Great part to protect the expensive and sensitive sheet metal - some applications require protection. Carnival and Nabada in Ulm (water parade)

Bought for carnival. Up to now I have played the tenor horn and have had nothing to do with a euphonium. But it plays very nicely.

One star deduction because: I am very allergic to the mouthpiece! After 30 minutes of playing, the lip is extremely thick.
We found a suitable mouthpiece through customer service. The sound is still great.

Would buy it again at any time. Especially here at Kirstein!

Locking device of the 4th valve occasionally leads to jamming after releasing the locking device. It may be that this is due to the low actuation....

I play baritone and trombone among other things and know that plastic instruments can work, but also know their limitations. Therefore, I ordered this plastic euphonium. Unfortunately, neither the natural notes nor fingered notes locked in properly. Even changing the mouthpiece did not change this. The instrument apparently leaked in several places.
However, service and reversal were impeccable.

For this price a really good instrument. Bought it for the winter and fun.
