The sturdy recorder for beginners!
The two-piece recorder is especially suitable for children and beginners. Thanks to the special head made of durable special plastic, the elaborate wood break-in phase is eliminated. This head can simply be washed out. Thus, hygienic concerns belong to the past.
The body made of maple wood ensures the authentic, soft recorder sound. The craftsmanship, precise response, and the soft tone of the Pivella recorder can easily hold up against much more expensive instruments.
Our conclusion: Classic Cantabile Pivella recorders are ideal for children and beginners looking for a sturdy instrument with good sound characteristics. A real "value-for-money tip"!

Questions about product
Question by Hiltrud Wilms on 13.12.2025
How long is this flute?
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
the flute is approx. 31.9 cm long
Question by Franke-GMariannericksch on 13.07.2024
Is there a proper wooden recorder 20 cm long for a child?
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
A wooden flute for children would be, for example: https://www.kirstein.de/Blockfloeten/Classic-Cantabile-Stella-Blockfloete-Ahorn-deutsche-Griffweise.html
However, we actually recommend the variant with a plastic mouthpiece for children, especially with regard to playing-in time and care. A recorder with a wooden mouthpiece must be played in evenly and carefully so that the wood does not swell or become hoarse over time.
Plastic recorders do not need to be played in and the mouthpiece can be washed out with warm water.
In terms of sound, wood and plastic are absolutely comparable, especially for beginners.
