Comfortable Gentleman Bassoon for Versatile Playing!

The Lechgold CF-25GM Bassoon Gentleman is a solid bassoon in C for ambitious beginners and amateur musicians. The special Gentleman's model combines a high-quality maple body with a silver-plated mechanism, six plastic rollers and a practical balance holder. Thanks to the special division of the bass joint, the instrument can be transported in a pleasantly compact case. Two S-bows, a carrying strap and extensive accessories are already included. For balanced response the set now also includes the AS Bassoon Reed Medium from Arnolds & Sons.

Gentleman's Model With Compact Case

On the CF-25GM the bass joint is divided differently than on a conventional bassoon. This produces more compact sections that fit into a less bulky instrument case. That makes this bassoon particularly interesting for musicians who regularly travel to lessons, rehearsals, ensembles or performances. Socket joints on the bass joint and wing are additionally reinforced with brass rings. A metal latch between the parts prevents unintended twisting and thus protects the mechanism.

Thoughtful Mechanism for Comfortable Playing

The silver-plated mechanism features a total of six plastic rollers. Eb and Db rollers support the little finger of the left hand, F and G# rollers the little finger of the right hand, and F# and G# rollers the right thumb. High-quality pads from Italy complement the solid equipment. The supplied balance holder allows different attachment positions for the carrying strap and helps to balance the bassoon individually and find a comfortable playing position.

Maple Body With Balanced Intonation

The body of the Lechgold CF-25GM is made of maple and has a high-gloss natural finish. Balanced intonation and easy response support controlled playing across the registers. This makes the instrument suitable both for beginners and for ambitious music-making in different genres and ensembles.

Includes AS Bassoon Reed Medium

The set includes the AS Bassoon Reed Medium from Arnolds & Sons. The bassoon reed is a double reed in medium strength. It offers good build quality, precise dimensions and easy response across all registers. The medium strength is a versatile choice for players who prefer a balanced character. The AS Bassoon Reed is manufactured in Germany.

The delivery contents include the bassoon and the AS double reed, two S-bows, a carrying strap, a reed case and the balance holder. The compact instrument case has a robust shell, hard-wearing exterior material and a padded interior, ensuring the instrument is reliably protected on the way to rehearsal, lessons or performance.
