Optimized Version of a Legendary, Noble Tenor Horn!

The characteristic tone color and special charm of instruments from Bohemian production are achieved through traditional manufacturing methods. This model stands out with clear intonation and good response, making it ideal for brass bands and musicians who value an authentic Bohemian sound in the tenor register.

The Cerveny Tenor Horn CTH 721-3RII is made from gold brass, which sounds softer and warmer than other materials. Nickel silver, used for the horn’s leadpipe, significantly increases the instrument’s lifespan since the leadpipe is most susceptible to corrosion. The valve casing (valve casings and valve outlets) is also made of nickel silver—as is the flange on the bell.

The bell has a diameter of 240 mm, and the bore measures 13.2 mm.

Optimized by Instrument Makers and Musicians

The tenor horns of the renewed series from the 2025 model year (with the suffix "II" in the product title) were modernized and optimized by Cerveny in collaboration with renowned tenor horn players.

The valve casing is equipped with minibal joints, ensuring perfect and reliable valve action. The rotary valves, like the valve casings, are manufactured on modern CNC machining centers and then hand-lapped (finely processed and smoothed). With the pre-installed marching lyre holder, you’re ready to play anywhere, anytime.

The tenor horn is, of course, delivered in a sturdy hard shell case and includes a silver-plated mouthpiece.
