Optimized Version Of A Legendary, Noble Tenor Horn!
The characteristic tonal color and special charm of instruments from Bohemian production are achieved through traditional manufacturing methods. This model is distinguished by clear intonation and good response and is suitable for brass bands and players who value an authentic Bohemian sound in the tenor register.
The Cerveny Tenor Horn CTH 721-3RII is made from gold brass, which sounds softer and warmer than other materials. The nickel-silver leadpipe significantly increases the instrument's lifespan, since the leadpipe is most susceptible to corrosion. The valve assembly (valve casings and valve ports) of the tenor horn is also made from nickel-silver — as is the rim on the bell.
The bell has a diameter of 240 mm; the bore measures 13.2 mm.
Optimized By Instrument Makers And Players
The tenor horns of the renewed series from model year 2025 (with the addition "II" in the product title) were modernized and optimized by Cerveny in collaboration with renowned tenor horn players.
Traditional Craftsmanship
The traditional craftsmanship of the Cerveny CTH 721-3RII tenor horn is the basis for its easy response and impressive tonal projection. Both beginners and semi-professional players appreciate the excellent sound and very reliable mechanics of this tenor horn.
High-Quality Components For Comfortable Playing
The valve assembly is equipped with Minibal joints, ensuring perfect and reliable valve action. The piston valves, like the valve casings, are produced on modern CNC machining centers and then hand-lapped (finely worked, smoothed). With the pre-mounted marching lyre holder you are ready to play anywhere at once.
The tenor horn is delivered in a sturdy hard case and includes a silver-plated mouthpiece.
