Sound Bridge for Better Tone and Intonation!
For optimal tone a wind instrument would ideally be made from a single piece. For practical reasons, however (tuning, transport, technical constraints), instruments as we use them today consist of different sections. lefreQue is a revolutionary sound bridge that acoustically links the sections of your wind instrument and combines the advantages of both.
The result is an unprecedented improvement in your sound quality: cleaner overtones, precise tuning, clear response, smooth intervals, extended dynamics and improved projection.
Saxophonist and flautist Hans Kuijt originally invented lefreQue for the saxophone, because he was dissatisfied with the sound quality even of the best instruments. He concluded that all the joints between the different parts of a wind instrument negatively affect tone and tuning. Cork is a material that absorbs sound. You can use it perfectly to seal a mouthpiece to the instrument, but it also has properties that impede the proper transfer of optimal sound from the mouthpiece to the instrument. In fact, it even damps the sound. lefreQue solves these problems.
Even instruments without cork joints sound better with the lefreQue sound bridge, because the sound breaks that occur at the connection points between parts are minimized.
lefreQue offers you
- Cleaner Overtones
- Better Intonation
- Easier Response
- Smoother Note Changes
- Greater Dynamics
- Full Surround Sound
The lefreQue sound bridge consists of two metal plates that connect the joint areas of the individual parts of an instrument. The metal plates are fixed with elastic bands available separately. No modification of the instrument itself is required.
In our wind department we constantly stock a large range of lefreQue sound bridges and are of course happy to advise you.
No Modification to the Instrument Itself Needed!

I have a very expensive and good concert flugelhorn with which I was always looking for the right
mouthpiece and often doubted. I play alone the 1st flugelhorn part and there you often come to your limits, even if you practice daily.
and especially because I play a flugelhorn mouthpiece.
I was very surprised what the reed did. The flugelhorn now responds flawlessly across the entire register and you can
you can really sing on it. A completely new playing feeling. This has totally upgraded my instrument and is a lot of fun.
