The Top Mouthpiece from Klier for Piccolo Trumpet!
JK Exclusive mouthpieces stand out with large tonal volume, pure tuning, easy response, and precisely calculated resistance in cup design and backbore, ensuring the player excellent endurance.
The personal sound concepts and wishes of a professional musician like Franz Tröster can only be fulfilled with the highest technical precision. That’s why Klier in Diespeck, Middle Franconia, uses computer-controlled CNC lathes to manufacture their JK mouthpieces. Only this production method, with its high positioning accuracy, allows the necessary serial precision with tolerances in the micrometer range (thousandths of a millimeter).
Unique in the Mouthpiece Sector
The consistent embouchure and cup diameter of each series, along with exact and differentiated gradation, allow the musician to achieve any desired style without having to adjust their embouchure. A mouthpiece series with such precise and optimal craftsmanship cannot be found in any other mouthpiece offering.
The Verdict of Professional Trumpeter Franz Tröster
I have been playing JK mouthpieces for a long time. But with this model for piccolo trumpet, I am overjoyed. It helps me realize my musical ideas. It has an easy response, a full, soft, balanced tone across the entire range—basically everything you expect from a very good piccolo trumpet mouthpiece."

About Franz Tröster
Franz Tröster, born in 1962, began playing trumpet at age 10, attended a music high school in Timi?oara, and studied at the Klausenburg Music Academy (Romania).
He was principal trumpeter and a sought-after guest musician with numerous renowned orchestras. Highlights of his career include a trumpet & organ concert in Castelanza/Milan and a concert at Carnegie Hall in New York.
In the "Ensemble Tromba Festiva," where his Scherzer Piccolo 8111G and matching Klier mouthpiece are mainly used, Franz Tröster and his three fellow musicians pay tribute to the great masters of the Baroque era—Vivaldi, Händel, and Bach—as well as modern legends like John Miles, Freddie Mercury, and Louis Armstrong. Since 1990, Franz Tröster has been first flugelhorn player with "Ernst Mosch & his Original Egerländer Musikanten" and "Ernst Hutter and the Egerländer Musikanten - The Original."
